Its desirable and rare Champagne Metallic Paint shines beautifully and its Legendary 3.0 Liter Turbo Diesel engine purrs and runs strong as ever. 1982 is the first year of 300CD Coupe with Turbo-Diesel engine. These engines not only have a bullet-proof reliability, but they also get amazing gas mileage as well! There were only 8,007 Turbo Diesel Coupes made in the period of 1982-1985, and this Beauty is one of them!!! This 300CD is production number 972, meaning it was one of the first Turbo-Diesel Coupes that rolled of production line in January of 1982! Mr. Bud Jones who was a Mercedes-Benz Sales Manager purchased this Mercedes brand new in February of 1982 and this car remained in his family until this day. With its rare and desirable color combination, amazingly preserved condition, and documented history there is not a lot of 300CD coupes like this one on the road today!! Mechanical Condition Legendary 3.0 liter Turbo-Diesel Engine starts on the first try hot or cold, and with only 196K miles on the odometer (only 6,500 miles per year) it is barely broken in! These engines are known as a Million miles engines!! It just received Fresh oil change, and set of new Diesel Filters and this Mercedes is ready to be driven anywhere! Automatic Transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly through every gear, and it makes this Golden Beauty absolute joy to drive and cruise in! This German Coupe handles great at the high speeds, and it is very comfortable. This beautiful roadster comes ALL complete with its original maintenance books and manuals, original data card, original decals from when it was brand new, original tool set, original Mercedes-Benz First Aid kit, original Uniroyal spare tire with red dot markings on the both the tire and the Bundt wheel.(PLEASE SEE PICTURES) This is a very nicely kept and complete Mercedes, that has been loved its whole life, it was never abused, and it truly shows!! There is not a lot of cars like this, with a simple and a happy story! Cosmetic Condition -EXTERIOR: Champagne Metallic (473H champagnermetallic) paint has a beautiful shine and luster, and it looks like the day it left the showroom floor!! Chrome is in excellent condition, it is complete and new looking, and this beautiful Coupe is a head turner and conversation piece everywhere it goes. This Mercedes is very solid and rust free (please see pictures!!!). Body is in wonderful condition and it is straight as an arrow! It has been always garaged, pampered and kept away from rain and bad weather. All Factory stickers are still present, including the VPC quality control sticker on the front windshield showing originality of this car. There is not a lot of 300CD Coupes out there in this solid and amazingly kept and preserved condition!! Matching Michelin Tires are in excellent condition with plenty of thread left, and they make this car float on the road. Original Bundt wheels are in wonderful condition as well, and they are free of any road or curb rashes! ORIGINAL Uniroyal spare tire is still in the trunk, and when you take a look at it, you will notice ORIGINAL factory red dots on both the tire and the Bundt Wheel (please see pictures)!!!! -INTERIOR Original Palomino interior is in excellent condition! German Loop Carpet is clean, in wonderful shape, and its rips and tears free. MB-Tex seats are in excellent condition, and very supportive and comfortable. This Mercedes comes with Air-Conditioning, power windows, and power sunroof, and they are all working as they should! Whole interior is original down to Becker Europa Radio, and it still have that authentic Mercedes-Benz smell! Just take a look at the pictures, and you will get an idea about the condition of this car, how nicely it is kept, and how beautiful it is. It really does not get any better than this!
