Vehicle Detail
1988 Ford Bronco II XLT 4x4 for sale by private owner. There are a lot of these older Bronco II's on the market, but this is truly a great find for any enthusiasts out there! Check out the pictures and see for yourself!! This Bronco II only has 95K miles and is in clean, original condition with a clear title. It is an XLT model with an automatic transmission and touch drive 4x4. Mechanical: Mechanically sound, everything is running well and working properly. Motor & transmission are in great shape. It has 95,400 miles on it now. I gave it a tune-up in February & changed fluids and filters - so all is fresh and new and ready to go. I also performed an issues check as recently as its February tune-up and everything is working as it should. It drives great too! The four wheel drive is in good working condition. The hubs are auto locking from the inside of the vehicle with the touch of a button. It certainly makes a good winter weather driver! Heat and air conditioning work well. Be advised, the air conditioner is as original as the rest of the vehicle and therefore uses R-12 refrigerant. If you expect it to cool as well as a new car model would this summer, you'll most likely want to recharge it first. This vehicle has been used as a daily work driver for most of its 95,000 miles and has been maintained accordingly. I can say with confidence that it is more impressive in person than it looks in the pictures. Overall, this Bronco is super smooth looking & feeling on the open road. It's a great ride!! Exterior/Interior: Cosmetically this is truly a clean, great looking vehicle!! The exterior paint is a deep charcoal gray with multicolor blue pin-striping and it has a blue interior. Exterior is in good condition, very well above average for this vehicle (see pictures). There are a few minor flaws, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. The most notable are that the pinstripes are faded in a few areas and there is a small dent in the passenger side fender (see the passenger side view pictures). The interior is in good condition as well (no odors or major issues). Again, there are a few minor flaws, such as a burn in the ceiling above the backseats, but nothing too detracting (see pictures). The interior pics don't do this vehicle as much justice for the great shape it is actually in - well above average for the typical older model Bronco II's. I haven't taken the extra time, but a little TLC in the form of spot treatment or shampooing will go a long way to enhance the interior! The molding and seating areas are not faded like they are in many Bronco II models of this age and still hold deep blue hues. The backseats fold down to form a large cargo area. The original cargo cover is in good working order as well (see pictures)! There are after-market step rails on both sides of the vehicle, as well as rain guards on both the driver and passenger side windows. These are the only non-factory modifications to the vehicle that I'm aware of. The tires are new BF Goodrich All-Terrains and have well over 90% of tread remaining. This Bronco II model has the spare tire attachment on the rear hatch. The spare is attached and in good condition. The spare tire cover is original and in good condition as well (it is pictured separately). Other: I'm the third owner of this vehicle. I know the second owner, who had it for the majority of the mileage and used it as a daily work driver. This Bronco II is special because it is still original and that is hard to find, especially for its good mechanical and cosmetic conditions! She is bound to make her next owner as happy as she has made me! If you have questions or need additional pictures, please contact me and I'll do the best I can to accommodate your request. I want you to know what you're bidding on and be happy with the purchase, so if there is any way I can further facilitate that I will be happy to do so. Just in case more of you are wondering...... There are no leaks or signs of leaks around the windows or the windshield. Regarding the exterior body paint: I am aware that Ford had trouble with paint jobs in 1988 to the point that they offered a repaint program to all owners that experienced those exterior paint problems. Due to its above average condition and factory colors/pinstriping, there is a good possibility that Ford repainted this Bronco II for its first owner under the program they offered in the late 80's/early 90's. On Mar-13-12 at 21:38:24 PDT, seller added the following information: RESERVE PRICE has now been REDUCED. Good luck & happy bidding...
