Vehicle Detail
Up for sell is a very nice 1974 Suzuki GT750. This is a great chance to own a bike to do a light restore or ride it as is when it arrives at your door. This bike will sell to the highest bidder. There is no reserve on this bike. I will not end the auction early and if you bid on this bike there is a chance you will win. The good and great about this GT750. This bike was purchased by the second owner in 1978. It remained in the second owners’ possession until recently. I bought the bike to restore but found my “dream” bike and need to sell so I can afford my new acquisition. I have a clean Idaho title in hand along with a Bill of sale for the new owner. The VIN number on the title and bike both match. It will be very quick and easy to title and register the bike in your state. The bike has a 6 month old battery; brand new clutch cable, carbuerators have been rebuilt, new tires among some other little things. The bike runs very good. It pulls very hard and is firing on all cylinders. It shifts through and pulls very hard through all the gears. It is SUPER fun going down the road leaving a nice smoke trail behind you. Another great thing about this bike is the condition all the chrome is in. There is virtually no pitting anywhere on the bike. It has been in Idaho its whole life (dry climate). There is a small ding on the front part of the fender. Please look at pictures and see for yourself. The exhaust on this bike is in very good shape. There are a few little imperfections but is very nice. They are stamped with GT750 info & identification. They all have their original baffles. All the factory stickers were left on the bike. Some are in great shape and some are not but they are all there. Everything on the bike is in working order besides the speedometer. It recently went out and I cannot figure out if it is the cable or the drive in the wheel. The horn; head light, blinkers, brake light, running lights, temp gauge, and gear indicator all work (top half). Things to be aware of before bidding. The speedometer is currently not working but this was recent. The speedometer reads 15,912 miles. I would guess that this bike has around 16,200 miles but I cannot verify this. The bike when warmed up and hot leaks a little bit of oil. I have tried to pinpoint where it is leaking and I think some of the rubber hoses need to be replaced. I am into british motorcycles that leak everywhere so this might be more alarming to others than myself. I think that by changing some of the 38 year old rubber tubes and clamps you will be good as new. I took pictures underneath so you can see yourself. The tank as you can see in the pictures is faded along with the side covers. There is a larger ding in the top of the tank and two on the right hand side. The tank would be easy to fix and repaint to look like new. The side covers are also slightly faded. The bike was parked against a house with the right side facing the sun so you can see where it is more faded on the right side. The seat is not original and has some wear. The foam does not feel ruined or hard though. The only tear is on the lower left edge and it is about 1” long. Overall the bike is awesome. It is fun to ride and it is kind of rare since they were in production for 5 years. Please be aware that this bike is 38 years old, it is not new and will need a few things to make it perfect but not much to be a daily driver. I try and be over critical of my bikes and VERY descriptive. I have purchased vehicles before on eBay and there is nothing worse than a poorly advertised machine. I have sold several motorcycles and cars on eBay so please bid with confidence. This is not my first sell and I am quick and professional all around. I work with you on the phone throughout the entire closing process. Now for the fun detailed part of the auction. The bike is located in Boise, ID zip 83706. It is in my storage unit and I am more than happy to hold the bike for a month or two while you get shipping in order. The way payment works is very easy. Once you win the bike we will talk on the phone. I will get you all my information and you can send me a check. If you are by Idaho you can swing by with a truck and cash (within a week of auction end). If it is a personal check/cashiers check, etc. I will take it down to my local credit union and we will wait until my bank clears the check (2 weeks). As soon as it clears I will send you the title and bill of sale for your new GT750. You can then have your shipper pick it up anytime. (This thing is a beast, 550LBS) I will always be available to help load the bike or I can deliver to a shipper in Boise, ID. I will take several pictures of the bike loading so you will know exactly what kind of condition the bike is in when it leaves my possession. I will immediately send them to your email to verify. Please only bid if you are serious. This is an auction for the United States. If you are out of the country please expect higher prices and longer wait times all around. You will need to figure out shipping and have it picked up in Boise, ID. PAYMENT IS EXPECTED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. Shipping is up to the buyer. I want to make sure that everyone knows exactly what they are bidding on. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask. I will answer them as best I can and it usually only takes me a few hours to respond. Please also check out the youtube video below. Just click on it to see a video of it running and what it looks like. The guesswork should be eliminated for the details on this bike. This is a no reserve auction. Again please keep in mind this is a nice original survivor. I forgot to mention that it comes with a few misc. tools but I do not have the original tool pouch or tool kit. This bike is sold "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied. On Mar-07-12 at 18:45:11 PST, seller added the following information: HERE IS ANOTHER VIDEO OF THE BIKE RUNNING 3/7/2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcX1n0QYp8g&list=UUuVFiMJsIURmmIE2M5kFMxw&index=1&feature=plcp ALSO HERES ANOTHER 100+ PICTURES OF THE BIKE. A lot of times the bandwidth is exceeded on photobucket and the pictures will not show up. In that case I will upload another batch of photos the day before the auction ends. Thank you for all the interest on the bike and good luck bidding! If you have less than 10 feedback please contact me before bidding or I will be forced to delete your bid. On Mar-08-12 at 14:20:59 PST, seller added the following information: I have been informed by an educated buyer that this GT750 has a an embosed suzuki logo on the alternator cover. This was used on the 1972 machines. They are supposedly very rare and worth a lot of money. Looking at other machines you will see that they have regular indents for a decal. On Mar-11-12 at 20:03:29 PDT, seller added the following information:
