This is my 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 4 door sedan. Im selling it because I dont have time for it anymore. It is a project car, meaning it needs work. The miles are probably not acual as far as I know, but the odometer reads 63,316. I drove this car every day up to a year and a half ago but the motor was getting weak and needed changed or rebuilt. I have since put in a reman 302 with a block no. that makes it from 1968. It was in a van when I got it but I tore it all down to the long block and scrubed it clean painted it ford blue and started assembling it. I put on a new oil pump, strainer, pickup tube, oil pan, fuel pump, all new seals and gaskets, I put on a performer 289 edelbrock intake that I got on ebay,along with an edelbrock 600 cfm carb also from ebay. I added new alluminum valve covers and cast alluminum edelbrock air cleaner. I put mustang block hugger headers on it but it makes the shift linkage a problem so you mite want to go back to manifolds. I am missing a few parts before I can get it running but like I said I don't have time and just need to let it go. It has a 3 speed automatic transmision I beleive to be from the 70s but guys I talked to said it would drive better than if it had the original 2 speed cruise-o-matic transmision so I didnt mess with trying to find one. It also has new motor mounts. I do have the front bumper but it is not on the car because I took the front clip off to change the motor. The brakes leaked out over the winter and I have not yet determined were the leak is but the ebrake works great. The RR quarter probably needs to be replaced do to previous damage and rust. The rest of the body is repairable in my opinion. This car would make a good driver. The tires are almost new and it has all 4 factory hub caps. All the glass is good except for some wiper scratches in the windsheild. The floor pans look rusty from the bottom but seem to be solid. It has an aftermarket cd player in the dash. The door panels are good but not perfect and I have extra ones that go with the car as well.
