Vehicle Detail
1967 Mustang Fastback. I found this car in a back yard under a tarp where it has been for the last 16 years. The exterior body from the doors back is in great shape. I sanded the surface rust and sprayed primer to clean it up. I didn’t sand the front fenders because I find it cheaper to purchase new ones—plus they have bondo on them. The passenger window was broken out although the chrome for the top of the glass is still there. Typical mustang, the floor pans need to be replaced. The driver’s side roof has an indentation. It has the original engine and transmission. It does not run. I never tried to make it run.The gas tank has rusted through the top and needs to be replaced. The rear seats fold easily and the pass through door functions. The front and back windows are in good shape. I took pictures of the car before I put primer on it. These pictures are available upon request. They were taken to document where the previous owner had put light bondo. I lightly sanded these areas just to clean up the surface rust. It seems the person who did the work never put primer on the areas, thus the surface rust. Having rebuilt mustangs in the past, the main things I would replace on this car would be, the front fenders, left front inner fender, gas tank and the floor pans. You could do a complete pan or just the floor pans. The tunnel seems to be solid. The body lines on the car are in great shape. Other than what appears to have been kids causing a dent on the roof above the driver’s side, the rest of the main body is in great shape. The doors shut solid and the locks work. The trunk closes and locks. I did not get any keys with the car. I opened the trunk by going through the pass through and on unbolting the lock catch. I did not prep the car for any painting. What I would do and recommend is media blasting the entire car. I also have a clear Texas title in my name. The car is sold as is. $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of winning bid remainder to be paid within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for transportation of the vehicle. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me. Thank you and good luck. On Mar-05-12 at 18:34:22 PST, seller added the following information: The motor is not frozen. I was able to turn the motor over using a socket and breaker bar off of the harmonic balancer. The motor turned easily and freely. I did this with the spark plugs in place. I could hear the pressure release from the exhaust ports. The inner fender serial number matches the door.
