1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie Convertible Running with clear Maryland title. Fair condition. Convertible cloth top is shredded, but metal frame appears to be all present and straight, originally was motorized, but currently manual. I have owned this vehicle for about a year and a half and have put on a new gas tank, rebuilt carburator, new radiator, recent tune up, and new hoses. Small block V-8, (292 / 4.8L - I believe). Ford-O-Matic transmission 2-speed. Transmission needs work, start driving in first then manually shift into second. No cracks on the the front windshield, all windows roll up and down except for drivers window (in the down position and I don't want to force it). Passenger window is cracked. Side vent windows operational. Orginally Raven Black and was painted red many many years ago. Red paint is peeling off in some areas. Interior side doors were gold, but appears to be paint over in black, heavely worn. Both front seat and back seat have been re-upholstered many years ago. Rust located in various areas, please view photos and/or in person. I would recommend new floor pans. Previous owner advised this vehilce was Continental version, but was rear-end, Continental kit removed, and replaced with a regular bumper. Continental wheel cover parts included, please see photo (no bumper just the wheel cover). Starter has been acting up recently, a few taps with a hammer and she starts up. Radio appears to be original, not working. Clock appears original, not working. This is a running, operating PROJECT CAR, not a show car. As the car doesn't have seat belts, I drive it locally and around the neighborhood only. This is a great car to drive around with the top down and the kids giggling in the back seat, a real head turner. I have enjoyed this car and so will you. In the right hands this diamond in the rough will sparkle once again.
