This is a No Reserve auction for my 1971 Lincoln Mark III. The car is black with a black vinyl roof (fair condition) and white leather interior. The leather on the front seats is cracked and worn. A button is missing on the drivers side seat. The interior shows wear consistant with 93K miles of use. The back seats are in good condition. The front seats are the optional high back lounge seats. Very cool. The body is in rough condition with plenty of rust in the rear quarters and the bottom of the trunk lid. Both of the rear quarters have rusted through at the bottom. The trunk lid has almost rusted through at the bottom edge. Each front quater has rust through at the back of the wheel wells. However, the lucky winner will recieve two used, rust free, front quarter panels. With a little bondo (less than 55-gals), some black paint, and a roller, this car would be quite presentable. Mechanically, this car is sound and drivable. The water pump is new, the brakes are very good with a new master cylinder, the trans has been rebuilt, new rear shocks, and new exhuast. It runs down the road like a big, heavy, American luxury car should. The 460 V8 has gobs of power and sucks gobs of gas. 12 to 15 mpg. Despite the new exhaust, the car is somewhat loud due to an exhuast leak at the passenger side manifold. The AC is non-working and has been disconnected. Most of the gauges are non-functional. Passenger and driver side power windows work. The rear side quarter windows do not work. Both power seats work. The heater core has been replaced but the heater motor does not work. This car is equiped with the rare cruise control option but I've never been able to get it to work. Comes with clear Illinois title - car is located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago I've tried to be as thorough and honest as I can but I'm sure I missed some stuff. Feel free to ask questions.
