Vehicle Detail

This is a true RM21, numbers matching, 70 Road Runner. Originally Citron Mist, bench seat, now a Lemon Twist, bucket seat. As far as work done on the car, the car has had quarters, center trunk pan and dutchmans panel replaced. Trunk driprails were replaced. The supports for the trunk rods were re-used and should have been replaced. This leads me to believe that the paint and body work was done a long time ago because those pieces have been available for 6 or 8 years now. Door seals, front and rear have been replaced. Front vent glass seals should be replaced due to a little wind noise from the top of them. Windshield, vent glass and door windows appear to have never been out of car. No seat-belts. Everything in the interior was replaced except carpet, headliner and dash pad, which are in excellent condition. There are new Pioneer speakers in rear, 4X7 and 6X9. The front speaker was sent out and restored. Ignition switch, door-locks, door handles and trunk lock were replaced. (Who knows who had key!) The car had sat for an extended time in a basement. So, the engine was removed and re-gasketed. I wanted to verify that it had been rebuilt, affirming what previous owner said was true. It is a .030 over and .010 crank and rods. Mopar purple cam, Cloyes true roller. Melling high volume oil pump. Heads were sent out to the machine shop while engine was apart. I replaced the intake manifold with original and had a 750 Holley built just for this engine configuration by Phillip Cancilla (AKA the Carburetorman) and it works flawlessly. A new Reman original distributor and yes, it still uses points and condenser just like they did in 1970! All electrical components under the hood were replaced along with belts, hoses, filters, fuel pump, high flow water pump and thermostat. Radiator was sent out and reworked. Transmission was rebuilt with stock converter and shift kit. Rear end was rebuilt with a 355 posi sure grip, Mopar performance springs and green bearing upgrade. Rearshocks were replaced. All brakes were replaced; to include hard ware, wheel cylinders, shoes, new rear drums, wheel bearings, master cylinder and rubber lines. New 2 1/2" exhaust with X-pipe, 3 chamber Flowmasters and correct tail tips and hangers. The car sounds incredible. New upper ball joints, tie rod ends, swaybar bushings and Pitman arm. Front end was aligned. Needless to say, this car runs, drives and stops great. As far as paint job, the cars original owner had it painted black and gold for his school's colors. The second owner, wanting to return to original color and believing that to be yellow, had the body shop paint it a Lemon Twist, not Citron Mist. Regardless, the paint job presented itself well and was very nice until a couple weeks ago, during a windstorm, the garage door slammed into the drivers door. Genius, that's me, was backing the car into said garage at that precise moment when gust came. The drivers door is scraped and dented, as pics show. So here is the dilemma. Repaint the drivers door and hope for the best paint match? Or re-do the paint and body back to the original color? I guess the new owner will decide. That's about it folks. I have a reasonable reserve set, (don't ask). If you have 10 or less feed-backs you must contact me before bidding. Scammers beware, I know all your low-down tricks, so move on. I paid cash for the car and that is what it takes for the car to leave here. E-mail me with your questions and I encourage you, if interested, to come look and drive the car in person. I am open for big block, b-body 4 spd. trades. A $500 deposit is due 24 hrs after you win the car. I reserve the right to end auction and sell the car locally. Good luck to all interested! On Feb-28-12 at 06:01:38 PST, seller added the following information: To all potential bidders and watchers alike. Please read the correspondence's in the questions section for the actual code break down for this car. It may very well be a one of one car! If not it is extremely rare. Good Luck.On Feb-28-12 at 06:18:24 PST, seller added the following information: Correction to all. I have been informed that the V21 performance hood paint was flat black on TX9 black velvet body, and the Rallye wheel code is W21 not M21(drip trough molding).
