Vehicle Detail
No Reserve! We've finally decided to sell our Woody! Originally from North Carolina, we purchased it in 2004 when we lived in Winston-Salem and since moving back to Illinois we no longer drive it on a regular basis, usually once a month on dry days only. Although the Autocheck says we are the second owners, we believe from our service records(back to 1993) we are the third owners. This is an original 68,800 mile Grand Wagoneer no bondo, no rust repairs. We have maintained and replaced many parts including new tires (under 500 miles, oversized because I thought stance looked better with minimal rub, NEVER BEEN OFF-ROADED-add 5% to speedo), 4bbl edelbrock carb and manifold ( we have the original 2bbl manifold), an aftermarket radio ( we have the original radio that goes with the vehicle), re-wiring a majority of the car, and a brand new battery to name a few. For the negatives there are a few scratches on the exterior, the oil pressure gauge doesn't function, there is an exhaust leak at the y-pipe which our local muffler shop thought would cost around $275, the cruise control stalk has chrome peeling off, and we know from the service records that this is a replacement engine. All the windows go up and down with the rear passenger window a little slow. The lift gate window needs help to go back up. The leather interior in good condition for the age, the drivers seat having more wear than the others. All in all, a very representable extremely low mile Wagoneer you can love as is or with little effort have a showpiece. It keeps getting harder and harder to find a Wagoneer that isn't a rust bucket, has 250,000miles or is a refurbished GW that sells for $30,000! I prefer you to email any questions you may have, I will respond ASAP. My cell phone number is (217) 552-4580 please leave a message if I can't answer or at work. I am happy to assist a transporter at your cost and my availability. I will not sell out of the United States and Canada. I require a $500 deposit within 72 hours of auction close via paypal. All funds must clear prior to vehicle pick up. I have the clear title in hand. We are able to store the vehicle for 2 weeks if needed. Any deviation from these requirements must be agreed upon prior to auction end. Bidders with feedback below ten must contact me prior to bidding. I have this vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to cancel the auction if someone buys it here. Good luck and Happy Bidding! On Feb-25-12 at 20:04:15 PST, seller added the following information:Thank you for the many phone calls and emails! We really haven't set a "Buy it Now" price. I can tell you we paid $5500 for it back in 2004 and have been told it's worth significantly more than that. Unfortunately, there just aren't enough rust-free under 70k examples to get a true value which is why we decided to list is on Auction. All that said, we are open to offers, inspections and all the questions we can handle. We are not interested in a trade. We had a question about A/C and Heater. I know we've replaced the blower motor and had the vacuum lines for the heater/defroster repaired or replaced. That said, I don't remember the GW's doing more than Adequate on cooling or heating. On Feb-27-12 at 06:09:37 PST, seller added the following information: Good Morning! Fist off, thank you for all of the questions and offers, we are truly humbled by the amount of interest in our GW. To summarize some of those questions:The tire size is 31/10.5/R15 so you would need to add at least 10% to your speedometer reading. If you have less than 10 feedback, PLEASE CONTACT ME if you are seriously considering purchasing this vehicle. It appears to have the towing package. I know the previous owners used to tow there boat up to the Blue Ridge Mountains on vacation. Can this jeep make a long distance drive? It's 22 years old. I've never been stranded and have driven it up to 300 miles on a trip in the eight years we have owned it. From the service records, since 10/2009 we have driven the Jeep a grand total of 380 miles. Since this was my wires daily driver until we moved to Illinois, I took the GW out yesterday for a quick trip and I think you could cruise all day at 55mph to 60mph(around 50mph to 55mph on the speedometer). Speaking of cruise, I could not get the cruise control to engage. I noticed a significant increase in rpm when I was going over 70mph. Reminds me of the older Blazers and Suburbans that I owned which were geared to run up to 55mph and if my memory is correct the GW platform runs on 1960's technology that wasn't significantly altered through the end of its production run in 1991.On Feb-27-12 at 06:15:52 PST, seller added the following information: I knew I forgot something. eBay only let me put 23 pictures on the listing- I have more and can take specific pictures you are seriously interested in this vehicle. On Mar-01-12 at 07:08:39 PST, seller added the following information: I ran an auto transport search engine online for a potential "buy it now" offer. The distance was 725 miles and the quotes came in from $500 to $850. Also keep in mind that within 24 hours of auction close, I can't end the auction early for a buy it now offer.Have a great day!
