Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 88 Chrysler Conquest Starion with 143,000 miles I would call this a great parts car or a good project car for someone who can work on the engine. It is completely intact and has 143,000. I can not get it to run. The good The rims on this car are awesome. They were polished by Starquest Rims. The tires are money. A unique feature of these rims/tires are the custom aluminum center caps ($100). Instead of the dumb plastic center caps. The rims, tires and caps are almost worth the starting price. The interior is all intact with 87 seats. No splits. The interior is nice and Not a piece of junk. The beige is very unique and feels much better than the black or maroon. It has rear hatch that I pulled from a parts car. It has TURBO in the glass. A nice touch. This is a 5 speed manual with a 14G turbo and blowoff valve. Airdamn is intact. All the electronics work and the AC is good. All wipers work and power door locks and seat belts. The bad: Not running but I believe it is just the head. Some rust is starting to come through the right rear quarterpanel. But not much. I replaced the driver side quarter years ago and it is good to go. Both front fenders have been replaced and rust proofed. Some of the urethane on the roof has let go. Here is the history/story on this car. It was my son’s car for about 6 years. He moved and I sold it to a friend of mine who drove it for a year or so until something happened and it would not run. I bought it back a few months ago with the intention of getting it running. I played with it last month and found that it had no compression in any of the cylinders. I checked the timing chain and noticed that it had jumped about 4 teeth. I corrected this and still no compression. A mechanic buddy of mine felt that the valves could be bent because of the timing being so far off. I performed a radiator leakdown test and it held 13PSI. Everything in the engine is moving nicely. Top and bottom. So the head needs to be pulled, and I just don’t have the time or desire to do it. I have an 89 that I am happy with so I can still get my Conquest fix.I think it just needs a new head.Car looks better than pictures. There is a layer of dust on the car from sitting in the garage. Too cold to wash it.
