The only reason we are trying to sell the el camino (my husband always said he was going to buried in it) is because we are trying to raise the money for an attorney to get custody of his two year old grandson that Texas child services have taken from my husband's ex-wife for abuse. By the time we found out about it they already had someone wanting to adopt him. Feb-25-12 A: The car did not come with A/C from the factory, so no, sorry no A/C. There are 3 very small places about the size of a dime on the rust. The car does run as seen in the couple of burn out photos shown. The computer chip is a timing advance chip. It has a 2 degree chip in it, but the chips go from 2 to 20 degrees (by 2's). This computer helps you advance the timing from 0 to 20 from inside car with one switch. It does not need this computer to work. You can get the chip from Jegs or Summit racing companies for around $145.00. A: Intake has small leak in rear by the distributor; fix that & it would make a good daily driver. Thanks. Q: thanks for info. where is the rust? quarters, bed, fenders? A: When I went out to confirm the rust areas, the paint flaked off two small spots the size of a quarter on the driver's and passenger's sides on the fender rear lower area by the rocker panel. The three spots I mentioned earlier are on the passenger's lower rear quarter area where the back bumper meets the quarter. On the other side in the same area, there is a spot showing under the paint that looks to be about the same. None are rotted out, all surface rust coming through the paint.
