Selling this great piece of Porsche history. A one owner, 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet that was estate found. Original owner paid over $54,000 for it new in 1990. The original sales invoice is in the inch and a half file. The finance agreement, everything is present. The books and manuals are complete. It is has the original Blaupunkt cassette player in dash. The dash is cracked as is most 944's of this vintage(see photo and video). The seats also have weathering on them(see photo and video). The original owner drove this car as a fun summer car only always having the top down. Although he covered the car, the California sun took it's toll. The top of the door panels have cracking on them, the rear plastic window will need to be changed out(see photo). The top is a decent shape for it's age. There are some small tears. Just enjoy this car in the sun as he did. The paint is not clear coat challenged as is most Porsche's of this vintage. The tires still have decent tread on all four wheels. The spare has NEVER touched the ground. The tool kit and Porsche pump still sits in the driver's side wheel well. If you are looking for a car to drive and enjoy then this is it. It is not a garage queen. It was taken out and enjoyed on every sunshined day in Califonria. It was dealer serviced by Niello Porsche in Sacramento County. Receipts and records show that the clutch, motor mounts, timing belt, water pump, rollers and tensioners were changed out at 84,734 miles. The original window sticker is also in the file with an MSRP of $51,587. The A/C will need a recharge but who needs A/C with a cabriolet?The power top functions perfectly with a flip of the switch. It is a blast to drive and gets great gas mileage. Porsche only produced 1800 944 S2 cabriolets in 1990. They only imported 249 into the states. This is one of the 249 and it is not RED like most of them. It is finished in a nice Baltic Blue with Linen interior. The option codes are: 437-Comfort Seat Left, 439-Comfort Seat Right, 454-Automatic Speed Control, 533-Alarm system, 573-Air conditioning(will need to be recharged), 593-Anti-lock brakes, 946-Leather/Leatherette seats This Porsche will be sold for NO-RESERVE.
