Vehicle Detail

Offering one of my treasures. I really hate to let this one go, but I have come to the realization that 15 hot rods is too much for me to manage. Here is my 65 Country Squire. It has only 39,000 actual miles. I paid a lot for it. It was used by a TV repairman in Ohio. The interior is perfect and looks brand new. The dash has no cracks or distortion. The seats are soft and pliable. The carpet is original and in great shape. I restored the factory steering wheel. This car is all numbers matching and very close to stock with the exception of the 17" wheels and tires with dog dish hub caps that I just put on it and a vintage Weiand 4 barrel intake ( I do still have the original Fomoco air cleaner if you want it). If you would rather have the stock 15" wheels and factory wheel covers I will swap out the 17" wheels at no charge or get both sets for $500 extra. I also have a set of American Racing Torque Thrusts in 17" and 20" with new tires and chrome lugs that I could include for $1500 over high bid. As the pictures show, the nose of the car has been painted at some point a long time ago. The vinyl wood grain is dry and needs to be replaced. It will make a huge difference in how this car looks if you take a day to install new vinyl. I have never seen another one in this shade of dark green but I like it. There is NO rust or bondo! This car is clean and solid underneath. Never any rust or patchwork!!! The 289 engine runs great and holds 50 lbs of oil pressure at idle. The car runs cool and does not over heat. The transmission shifts smoothly and cleanly. All of the gauges, turn signals and lights work perfectly (including the back up lights!). The windshield wipers work as does the heater fan and the factory AM radio (only plays songs from 1965). The headliner and the cargo area are perfect. Never any rodent damage or kids that I can tell. No odd smells - non smoking owner. I also have a set of third row seats for the car, but they are blue in color. I just replaced the master cylinder, alternator and dropped the gas tank and had it dipped to remove the old gas and crud. She starts without hesitation or smoke and runs like a car with 39,000 miles should. It is very tight with no wobbles or pulling or anything weird. I would drive it anywhere without hesitation. The paint has has some chips and shows some checking in places but it has nice even patina and I would not consider painting it, although with fresh wood grain this car would look better. All of the wood grain edge trim is present and easily restored. All of the glass on the car is perfect and factory. The electric rear window works perfectly and all the doors shut nice and tight. I have all the original keys as well as the original sales brochure and owners manual. This car is a jewel and will make someone really happy. I was going to put it on air bags and run the big Americans and use it for the hot rod shows next season but I really need to concentrate on my other cars for a while until I get caught up. This wagon has a clean Indiana title along with current plates and insurance. I drove it yesterday. Please ask any questions that you might have. Bid early, often and bid to win. Have fun! Thanks for looking and good luck in your bidding.
