Olds fans were greeted with a complete restyling, which featured a retrograde three-piece rear window. Standard equipment for the “Super 88” included: bumper guards, turn signals, sun visors, rubber floor mats, arm rests, front fender chrome script, exposed chrome roof bows and side interior courtesy lights. Upholstery choices offered a variety of optional cloth and leather combinations. Propelling this stylish car down the road was the powerful 371ci Overhead Valve V8, which put out 277hp and featured a Quadra-Jet four-barrel carburetor. Additional options on this “Super 88” include Power Steering and Power Brakes. This car was originally finished in the rare and stunning Sunset Glow (lower), Royal Glow (upper) with an Onyx Black Accent Stripe and was complimented by the Black and Ivory Upholstery. An excellent and complete example to restore.
