Offered for sale is an Avanti marketed by Studebaker as a 1964 Avanti. In 1963, Studebaker built about 4600 Avantis. Of that, only about 800 were 64s. There were not Avantis built after Dec. 1963. Most had square headlights and automatic transmissions. This one has round headlights and a 4 speed transmission. The round headlights really fit the curves of the car and the 4 speed gives you more control of the great Avanti engine up front. The engine has less than 500 miles on it since a complete rebuild was done. The clutch was replaced when the engine was out of the car. All chromed engine parts were re-chromed with the rebuild. The paint and interior are both in great shape. The tires have only about 200 miles on them. It has NOS wheel covers, and much more. This is an all original car. You won't find a better unmolested Avanti around. This care belongs to my father-in-law. He has owned it for 40 years and it has always been garaged. It is a California car with no rust anywhere. The car is currently in Ferndale, WA 97248. It was shipped in an enclosed moving van, and continues to be garaged at all times, never exposed to weather.
