Always a Califonia car with no rust. A matching numbers car with the upgrades necessary to the factory drawbacks of the 1955 model, including 12 volt electrical system, modern carburater and six blade fan.The rebuilt engine and transmission have 6,000 miles on them. The engine was bored 30 over and 312 pistons and heads were installed. All peripherals were replaced or rebuilt including, carburater, fuel pump, temp. sender, alternator, power steering pump, oil pump, water pump, starter and solenoid.Underneath, the front suspension was rebuilt along with a new brake system including, master cylinder, power brake assembly, wheel cylinders, shoes and lines. Wheel bearings were replaced and a new exhaust system from the manifolds back was installed. Other new suspension items included gas shocks, coil and leaf springs and shackels. Also a new steering valve and new power steering hoses.Of the 16,000 T-Birds produced in 1955 only 10% were "optioned out" with power steering, power brakes, power windows and four way power seat. Of those less than 200 remain on the road today and seldom are seen on the market. This car also has the telescoping power steering wheel.The paint still pops and looks great from 10 feet but a close inspection shows chips around the edges (touched up) and a crack here and there. The interior is georgeous and the seats and carpet are like new. The chrome still sparkles but has a little pitting in a few places. It also has the Engine Dress Up Package. At some point a fender was wrinkled and straightened and doesn't quite fit to the headlight bezel perfectly. The rest of the body is very straight.The car runs like a watch and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country. There are no oil leaks and only a slight trans drip. I haven't added trans fluid in years. All electric components work including clock and radio.The Firestone vintage whitewalls still look new but have been on the car for more than five years. It has wire basket wheel covers plus the original hubcaps will be included. I am also including the repair manual, the owners manual, original sales brochures and a VHS tape with vintage TV spots, and 40 years worth of repair and service receipts.A Deposit of $500 via wire transfer or Paypal is due within 24 hours of auction end, and balance to be paid by wire transfer, or cash.
