Vehicle Detail

hotrodhabit Store This is a 1963 Mercury Monterey Colony Park station wagon. It has a 390 V-8 and auto transmission. Car has 66337 original miles. Equipped with power brakes, steering, windows, and front seat. This is the 6 passenger version. I've owned the car for almost 3 years and I've put about 3000 miles on the car. I've driven it to car shows all over Florida. The best description of the car is that it is an awesome survivor / driver quality car. Cosmetically, the paint and woodgrain has some weathering / patina with some minor scratches/dings here and there. But, personally I would not change a thing, because fresh paint would only make me paranoid about getting a scratch. The car has presence and draws a crowd just like it is. The interior is very nice. No rips, no smells, original carpet is nice, etc. The power windows and seats all work properly. All glass is nice, windshield has no cracks or milking. The car drives like a dream. Rides ultra smooth, you can drive it with one finger at 75 mph on the interstate. The engine runs great, brakes are good, etc. It has a brand new original style exhaust system, and it runs so quiet you can barely tell it's running. The only deviation from original is the wheels and tires that I bought new and put on the car shortly after I bought it. They are Cragar Eliminator 500's in 15x7 with white wall tires, and they are still like brand new. I still have the factory steel wheels, bias ply tires, and hub caps, and they are included. I bought the car from Lincoln Land in Clearwater (http://www.lincolnlandinc.com/aboutus.php), where it was the owner's personal car for many years, and I'm sure they will be glad to confirm the condition of this car. The car is originally from Montana. The car is 99% rust free. The only rust I have found is about 3 dime sized areas in the bottom of the tailgate (please see my attached photobucket album for detailed pics). I have been all over the car and can find nothing else. I encourage bidders to come inspect and test drive the car. There is nothing to hide and it will stand up to scrutiny. This is an awesome car that it always attracts attention. If you're looking for a surf wagon that's ready to enjoy, this is it. Since I have owned it, it has always been properly maintained and garage kept. All lights, wipers, guages, etc, work properly. Includes owners manual, original jack, etc. Please follow this link to a photobucket album with approx 200 photos of the car- http://s823.photobucket.com/albums/zz160/Aero-Moto/63Mercury/ Car is located in Auburndale, Fl, about 20 miles SW of Disneyworld. Winner pays shipping. I will do my best to work with any shipping arrangements. If the winner chooses to fly in and drive it home, I'm willing to pick you up at Orlando International Airport. I don't mind storing the car for a reasonable amount of time while shipping arrangement can be made, but it MUST be paid in full within the terms of the auction.
