REAL DEAL 1970 PLYMOUTH DUSTER 340. let me start off by saying that this car has been a project of mine for the last 4 months. i have put 600 hours into it with one of my workers. this 1970 plymouth duster is the real deal. car is origionally a auto on colunm, but have converted to four speed. i bought this car as a bare roller. origional engine and trans are gone. however, i have installed a date code correct 340 and four speed, which they are numbers matching to each other. i have taken this car apart to the bare frame. this car was not a rot bucket, but the metal work that i have done is: driver side frame rail had a hole. it could of been capped, but i chose to do it once and never have to touch it again. also, that front floorpan was replaced on driver side. the rest of the frame rails and floor were near perfect. at one time, someone cut out in front and behind the rear wheels, to put bigger tires. i ordered a full set of amd quarters, and cut out the pieces i needed and welded all in correctly. both lower quarters at the most rear needed only 4x 6 inch patches, also all welded in properly. other than them few spots, all metal in this car is un-touched. car was media blasted, zinc-primed and epoxy primed. there were a few dings that were straigtened. I WILL SAY THIS, AS I WANT IT TO BE KNOWN. to list honestly as i can, i will add that this car is not perfect. all the body work came out great and car is awesomely straight. i did not go out and spend 40 k on all repo or new parts. i either restored or had nice pieces from other cars that i have aquired andsalvaged.the paint is awesome driver condition, with no chips,peels,runs. it could use a cut and buff. engine and trans both came from a 70 340 4 speed duster that was beyond repair, as did the interior. engine has been fullt rebuilt, with ported and polished x-heads and port-matched correct intake. trans was pulled apart, to find it to be in new condition inside.the rear-end is a 8.75 with 3:23 sur-grip all new parts are including but not limited to : carpet,dash pad cap,headliner,oil and water temp guages,fuel tank,fuel sender,fuel pump, radiator, all new brake lines,belts,hoses, cluth set and linkages,stripes,door handles,volt regulator,ballast res., ecu,wires and tune up, gaskets,rings,bearing still all at standard size, eldebrock 650 with air cleaner, dual exaust..........and more i installed the dual scoops,71 stripes, and sharktooth grille for the look, as it was not numbers matching. lets talk about the grille. i have had a few of these grilles, but this is one of the finest out there, there was no breaks or cracks in this at all. all it needed was to be re-painted, wich looks like a profesional job! car needs two rear tires.( i have two brand new ones for the front) bumpers are decent driver quality, but would go a long ways to either get them re-chromed, or pick up a set from amd for 582.00 shipped for both. also needs the emblems for the fenders. thats it to be a local show car i have over 100 pics of the car comming home on my trailer, up to present day driver. it was a long hard build, but i saved this car for the fact of it being a rare moulan rouge and 340 car at that. i ahve fender tag in perfect condition, and it matches all number on the body, vin, and title. this car runs out smooth and is guaked at the entire time on the road!. awsome car for the money. cannot build one for my price, let alone find one to start with. good luck bidding a 1,000.00 dollar deposit is due at end of listing, and balance paid within 7 days. i can store car up to 2 weeks once listing ends for free. will also help with transport. this car will always hold /or go up in price. 413 made with /6,318,and 340 engines, but not many known to still be out there! i reserve the right to end aution at any time, as car is for sale locally. i have added 9 new pics. these are while i was just completing the car, and still dusty, and missing the oil dipstick tube, and little pieces, waiting to go on car. all done now
