Cheap and good MG Midget Roadster. Florida car. Low miles. Rust free bottom and has never had any rust-through or bondo-ing. Excellent original seats, carpets are just fair but again are original. At one time had some exterior light repaint on flat upper surfaces and it is chipping and cracking. Surface rust on dent on LR wheel opening and at chrome strip over right lower cowl. Dent in cowl from door opening too far-chronic Spridget disease. Near-new leather grain top. Runs well, new battery. Recent tires. Senior owner could no longer drive, so it is available. Very good cheap toy to drive as is with just detailing or super solid easy restoration. Not your typical beater that has been gone over and patched, very solid floors/ rockers/ suspension mounts. Will only go up in value.
1978 MG Midget rubber bumper series. Yellow with black top and interior. 1.5 liter four, 4 speed full synchromesh transmission- both are in good condition. Luggage rack. Pinstripes that were applied originally when that was the fad, but come off easily. Upgraded Pioneer AM-FM-Cassette with big speakers in jumpseat, again from the early 80's. Tonneau cover and boot. We did some brake and clutch hydraulic work to make it safe. Otherwise as found inside a basement where it was parked when brought up from Florida a couple of years ago. The pictures show it before even cleaned up, as found.
If you are looking for an economical car to drive regularly- don't think about it. It, like all British roadsters, requires some care and maintenance. It was that way in 1978 and 34 years later is not any better. They need care but it is easy to do. But it is a fun and cheap collector car that will only go up in value. Needs some refreshment for sure but much better and more solid car than 90% of them I've seen for sale.
