This pickup is in above average condition for its age. I bought it about 5 years ago and the previous owner had it for 15 years. It had an over-cab camper on it from the time it was new until I bought it, and it has been used more as a recreational vehicle. It's got a lot of options and a good trim package. The Highlander was a trim package unique to 1972 models that was intended to move inventory before the new body style came out in '73 and this one is still in great shape. I replaced the carpet last year and put sound deadener on the floor, firewall, and inside the doors, so it's a nice, quiet ride. The paint is in pretty good condition but the hood is faded (it's the only part that wasn't protected by the camper). There's some rust inside the front wheel well where it looks like a battery leaked down on it at some point. There is also a bubble in the corner of each door, but they aren't rusted through. There are a couple little dings in the bed rail and a couple on the cowl where the camper struts attached, but the body's really straight overall. I put some new wheels and tires on it a while back and they're in great condition. I kept everything pretty original looking but there are little upgrades here and there like keyless remote door locks etc.The engine is the original 402 BB with TH400 automatic transmission. I upgraded the intake and ignition systems last year with an Edelbrock air-gap intake and 1405 carburetor and an MSD HEI distributor. I recently drove the pickup about 600 miles from Idaho to Washington and it ran great without issue (besides gas).
