Honda Nighthawk 250 Terrific 1993 The very best year...full size and freeway legal Is this the Best All-Around Bike Made… Some people think so. As I remember, this is the last year of the first run of these motorcycles, and usually considered the best year. If you are seeking a motorcycle for economical commuting [very easy on gas…] and minimal fuss and maintenance [disgustingly reliable…], then ask around about these 250 Nighthawks. Starts every time, even after a couple of months lay-off, which happens in our family because we have a number of bikes. The Nighthawk 250 is the only FULL SIZE 250cc motorcycle you will find on our streets or the freeway; yes, they are Freeway Legal. See the one picture of my older son on it when we first bought the bike. He is almost 6 feet tall and weighed 185 then. It will cruise easily at 65+ for your commute, and it rides smoothly and comfortably. Both sons rode this on their way to the “sport bikes” that were inevitable for young men. That leaves me… Since I ride Nortons, and I wanted to keep a great back-up bike around, I changed the bars to “clubman” bars and added the quarter fairing. [The pictures without the fairing show the bike when we first bought it.] The riding position was better than I expected with no other modifications, and I have kept the bike this way for the past couple of years. The boys are now grown and I no longer need the bike, so it can be yours. And the GTO in the background belongs to my wife! Please note that we have made NO mechanical modifications of any kind to the engine or drive-train. I just added the bars and fairing. We recently put new tires on. When he first rode it, one son parked it at church [really!] and was unfamiliar with the side-stand. As he turned to walk away, he saw the bike slowly fall down onto a curb before he could catch it, and that is how it got the small dent in the tank on the left side. Ouch… Other than the usual small scrapes and such, the bike is in great shape, as you can see from the pictures. The mileage is still very low [12,930], and you should have thousands of trouble-free miles ahead. It is currently licensed and insured. These bikes are also very popular around the world, and some have achieved well over 50,000 miles on them. We will provide the original handlebars, so that you can return it to the original look at your choosing. You might want to keep it as it is before making any changes. It has a genuine “sport” look but without the drawbacks and dangers of some of those motorcycles. So, for us this has been a fun bike and a commuter that can go on the freeway legally and get great gas mileage and not wear you out and look neat and is actually a full size motorcycle that starts every time and is easy to fix but seldom needs a thing and it has new tires… A great deal for you now!
