This a totally unmolested car. It doesn't get much more original than this, they are only original once. It has original paint, upholstery, . It is 99% original, except for the turn signal lights because the old Man who owned and drove this car from NEW got tired of rolling down the window to use arm sinals in the cold. Therefore He the dealer to put signal lights on for Him. He is believed to be the only driver and no indication of any passengers ever as the upholstery shows no wear in those areas. He drove it from His home to his business, "Wayside Bar" Perhaps that could explain some of the dents!! The pictures say a great deal of the condition. The 218 motor runs very smooth, there is no smoke, at idle it maintains 45lbs oil pressure. The transmission,clutch, and rearend, run smooth and I willagain say original to the car. IT has a new battery, re-built carbureator, all four tires are new. Due to the fact that the car had been stored in a garage for 25-30 years, tires went bad. It has new wheel cylinders, brake shoes were OK. Small amount of rust in each front fender and is indicated in the pictures. There are two small rust areas in the driver side floor. No doubt due the snow off the old man's boots when He got in the car. Have new patch panel for that, but did not install so you can make your own observation, Has new vintage seat covers, again not installed in order for you to observe the condition and evaluate for yourself. It has NOS visor. It will make a good daily driver in it' current condition as it a head turner already. I personnally, would not want to see this vintage car made into a Hot-Rod, Rat-Rod,etc. According to "BARRETT-JACKSON" They will tell you a car in this condition need to remain in this "ORIGINAL CONDITION" Unfortunately, during the 60's & 70's, most of these were made into hot-rod, rat-rod. Therfore that makes this a pretty rare find and would be shameful if this car werwe to meet the same demise. It is important that whoever buys this vehicle, has a love or interest of old cars to appreciate what i t is. It is actually rated to get 22-24mpg.
