Vehicle Detail
I am relisting this truck since the winner of the previous auction elected not to communicate with me, or to follow through with payment - subesquently the transaction was officially cancelled through Ebay. I am the second owner, for the last 10 years. Vehicle passed NYS inspection a few months ago, for safety and emissions. Vehicle has never been hit requiring frame-work and never pushed a plowed. It pulled a small trailer about 2-3 times per year. ODO stopped working a few years ago at around 191,000, but the truck only gets used about 500-1000 miles per year since then. I would guess it has just under 200k now. Engine: 318 V8, strong running, burns a little oil but does not leak. Radiator good, no leaks. Heater core good, no leaks. Drivetrain: Very good for its age. 4WD axles and transfer case work fine. Could probably use a new clutch disc. As far as I know, wheel bearings, axles, and steering gear are in safe, usable condition according to the NYS inspection. Body: rust at bottom of doors and quarter panel as shown, both sides. One dent at driver front fender. Rear bumper got clipped and is bent out a bit. Tailgate door hatch (fiberglas) is perfect. Inside bed in good condition, no apparent rot. Headliner is shot. Passenger seat good, driver seat ripped. Back seat is long gone. 35-gallon fuel tank in good condition, but gage does not work. Sunroof (hatch) in the bed area is in good, non-leaking condition. Glass: All good, and tinted. Windshield however is showing its age with a few pockmarks, and leaks, leaving a puddle on the passenger floor after it rains. Door windows are a struggle to get up and down; they are manual and the mechanicals inside the door are a bit rusted and worn. Tires: All four need replacing onto the factory rims, but the spare is mint ! Electrical: This is the problem, and the primary reason for selling. Truck generally starts right up, but has lately been prone to dying and not wanting to restart. With a good battery (new within the year) it cranks fine but will not always catch. Other times it dies then restarts fine. I am informed this is a common problem with Chryslers, where the wiring connections passing through the firewall have become corroded, thus giving the circuitry poor continutity. Radio is gone, heater/defroster fan are jury rigged, lights are okay for now. Fuel tank sender and/or gage gave it up last year. ODO & speedo cable need replacing. Truck comes with the original jack, a shop manual, and probably about 20 gallons of unleaded premuim. It will run okay on regular, but I decided to give it a treat for the winter. Buyer will be responsible transporting the vehicle from my driveway. I will not deliver it.
