Vehicle Detail
The paint is original black lacquer, a 30 footer. The best part about the car is you can see what you are getting. The body is excellent with no body damage or rust. Doors, floors, trunk and rocker panels are solid. This car is a true survior. We have used it for a daily driver for 10 years. It has been our prime mover for our 1958 Airstream trailer. It has original upholstery showing wear but presentable. The carpet is worn. The engine was replaced with a low milage Chevrolet 350 and a Turbo 400 transmission with cooler. Over the ten years I have owned the car we maintained it religiously to keep it on the road as a driver. It has new tires, the brakes are new in 2012, and it stops true and straight. The heavy duty radiator is recored and the car runs very strong. It never overheats, even when pulling the Airstream in the mountains. This is a great car with Classic Cadillac looks with the advantage of easy drive train parts availability. It has an Edlebrock intake manifold and Edlebrock 4 barrel carb. In Sept 2011 we did a complet tune up, replaced the carb, spark plugs, wires and petronix (SP) electronic ignition. It has working 6 way power seat and power windows. Also autronic eye dimmer works perfectly. Electric trunk opens with button in glove box. All three universal joints and carrier bearing were replaced in September 2011. Extra Fun Stuff: I have a large color Cadillac mailer with all models, a color show room booklet, owners glovebox operators manual, dealer assessory flyer, shop manual and 12 mechanical updates. I also have a note from Kenny Newton, who started NEWTON MOTORS in Glasgow, MT, 1950. He originally sold the car to Henry Mohr who was doing well in the lumber yard in 1958. I have some doumentation from the second owner and I am the third. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and must be picked up with in 14 days. Car is located (garaged ) at home in Lincoln City, Oregon. 541-921-3858 Pacific time. Electric trunk opens with button in glove box. All three universal joints and carrier bearing were replaced in September 2011.
