1998 Ford Windstar Cargo Van Up for sale is my slightly used 1998 ford windstar cargo van. This used to be a fleet vehicle for the US Postal Service. I purchased this van when it had 23,200 miles to drive from California to Louisiana which I did and had zero issues. I then helped a friend move to Indiana and drove it to Indiana and Back again with zero issues. Other then that I might use it once a week to go to gas station to buy a coke and that's it. So tired of paying insurance on it and decided to put it up for sale. The Vehicle: This is a 1998 Ford Windstar Cargo van. Only has 29,347original miles on it. Has automatic transmission and shifts smooth. Engine is a 6cyl 3.0 (The only version available so don't believe other sellers claiming a 6.0) The Good: This van is in great shape and has low miles for its age. The interior is in great shape and the rear cargo area is perfect. The rear cargo area has a padded plastic/rubber floor mat with no tears. Runs like a beast, she has tons of pick up and go. The front tires are almost brand new, purchased about 5000 miles ago, so still have over 60,000 left on them. I added a full size spare tire, hydraulic jack and tire iron. (USPS fleet vehicles don't come with those 3 things) Had the van fully inspected at Firestone at 24000 miles with a clean bill of health. The Bad: The check engine light is on! This is from the fuel filler tube which is cracked. (Pics below). I just bought the part to fix ($100) but haven't gotten around to fixing. It is only 3 screws and a hose clamp. So easy fix! (This is a common problem with this year model windstar) This is a no frills van, so no stereo, power windows, dvd players or any of the other things found in non cargo vans. The drivers window track is broken and will need to be replaced. If you roll window down it jumps off the track. The outside isn't nearly as nice as the interior. The drivers side clear coat is peeling off and has a few spots where paint is peeling off. From 10 feet away looks great, but once you get close you can see the flaws. I took as many pics as I could to try and show exterior condition. Exterior has a few small dings but nothing major. The passenger wheel well has few scratches and dents (pics) but again not very noticeable. The Rules: I will only accept paypal for this item as It won't go over 2-3k. I require a $250.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction ending (via Paypal), and balance within 7 days of auction ending (via Paypal). Vehicle is sold "AS IS WHERE IS" with no warranty guaranteed or implied. Shipping and transportation are the responsibility of the buyer, or the vehicle may be picked up personally. Paint peeling back lid This is the part for the filler tube above and the broken one below. It is just crack on outside are but causes air to enter, thus the check engine light.
