Vehicle Detail

1974 Maverick V8 For your consideration is this very nice 74 Maverick with only 15,802 actual miles. Not only does this Maverick have very low miles it is a 2door with a 302 v8 and factory bucket seats! The Maverick also has an automatic transmission, power steering, and manual disk brakes. This car is still wearing its original paint and vinyl roof, the car has a very nice silver blue interior that is in near perfect condition, the only flaw is one crack in the dash pad. The car has recently had a full tune up, all new brakes including lines, new fuel system, and new shocks. We installed 4 new tires on new 14x7 Magnum 500 wheels that really look sharp on this car. I do have a Marti Report on the car (see photos), the original owner’s manual and most of the inspection slips dating back to 1974 that verifies the mileage. The car was ordered with the following options: White vinyl roof C-4 cruise-o-matic transmission Whitewall tires Power steering Manual disk brakes Front and rear bumper guards Am radio Luxury décor group It is painted brite blue metallic with silver blue bucket seats, has a 2.79 rear axle and was built on march 19, 1974. I am the third owner of the car with the second owner being the nephew of the first. There is some very minor rust in the car, a very small hole in the RR quarter just behind the wheel well and lf fender near the bumper, there is a pin hole in the lt. door skin. The undercarriage is excellent and was undercoated when new; it is very clean with NO RUST ANYWHERE UNDERNEATH THE CAR. All of the trim is in near perfect condition, the paint is nice but has started to dull as most metallic paints do. All glass is perfect and all the lights work, in fact everything on the car works as it should. The vinyl top is starting to shrink and pull away from the chrome trim. I would replace it if the car is repainted. There is no rust or rust bubbles under the top and unlike some other manufacturers Ford did paint the roof before installing the top. While this may not have been a rare car in 74 how many have survived in this condition, with this low mileage, especially a factory V8 car? I would not be afraid to drive this 38 year old car anywhere; all mechanicals have been checked and serviced. This will make someone an excellent car at a fraction of the cost of a Mustang and still look great doing it! A $250.00 deposit is due within 24 hours via Pay Pal. The balance is payable in cash, cashier’s check or money order within 10 days of sale date. I would prefer the car picked up in two weeks but will work with the new buyer if more time is needed. If you have a feedback of less than 5 contact me first. I am selling this car to the US and Canada only! The car sells as is where is but I will answer any questions and welcome anyone who wants to come and inspect the car prior to the end of the auction. Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing. Good luck bidding! On Jan-29-12 at 17:43:03 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that I do have enough NOS top material to recover the top and rear panel between the taillights. This is included in the sale of the car.
