Vehicle Detail
1982 Volkswagen Rabbit DIESEL 4-door. 40-50 MPG!! This would make a good Vegetable Oil Conversion! This is a VERY CLEAN NON-SMOKER Car !!! Probably the cleanest you will find of its kind! The car drives really good. The 4-speed transmission shifts really good and the linkage is nice and tight (not wallowed out). The FACTORY A/C is not working. The A/C compressor clutch will lock in if you jump a hot wire to it, but it does not work with the switch. The car has 185K original miles on it, and the engine has been rebuilt less than 1200-miles ago. The INJECTOR PUMP was completely rebuilt at the same time as the engine and has all new seals that are conducive with today's fuels. The interior is VERY CLEAN with no tears or stains. Has a NEW HEADLINER and is a NON-SMOKER CAR! The tires are very good! The car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early. E-mail OR call Don for additional information or pictures. HAPPY BIDDING! On Jan-30-12 at 20:12:31 PST, seller added the following information: The car has 3 rust spots that are worth mentioning. 1 is in the bottom of the spare tire caddy, and the other 2 are on the 2 rear corners at the bottom beside the very end of the tail pipe and the opposite corner, as if the tail pipe may have been rusted back a little allowing exaust to blow behind the body panel. Its either that or those corners and in the center where the spare caddy is, there is a factory brace, and it looks like all three places could hold sand, dirt, and moisture that may have caused it over the last 30 years. You can see both of them very good on photo #s 23, 24, 25, 97, 98, and 99. The strut towers are solid as can be and are shown on photo #s 80, 81, 82, 113, and 118. That is only a scratch with surface rust on photo #81. The worst of any door rust in #48. New headliner color difference in #22, 34, and 35.
