Up for sale is one 1965 Chevrolet sk van. I have done weeks of research regarding this van, and have found almost nothing! I found only two others, and they had no info regarding history. This one was used as a bread truck by webers from 1965 until 1974 when it was then converted into the Webers mobile mechanic truck. It had been sitting since 1989 until I moved it last month and decided I put it up for sale. It has been converted to propane, equipped with a large tank mounted to the bottom of frame.When I moved it last week, It started the second time, but will need a full tune up, belts hoses, etc since it has sat for such a long time.The body is made by All American Body works, and is all fiberglass with metal ribs. It has several spots that have wear in the fiberglass mesh,mostly on the top... 5 or 6 spots that would total 2 feet all together, nothing major, but it's there. The wood floor has a few spots that will need replacing as they are cracked, or missing, but no spot over 10 inches or so. The exterior is still Webers yellow, with red bumpers and rims. It comes with spare tire, and tires that are currently on it will need to be looked at. They appear good, but have not been highway tested in 15 years. The drivers side window is cracked and will need replacement. The front windows are in good shape, but need new rubber trim.......the motor is a chevy inline 6, was a replacement motor, and was set up for propane. This Van on a one to ten scale is a 6. It is all original, and properly converted, would be the best food truck in town. Or ice cream. I was going to use it as a rolling company advertisement, but don't have the time or money. I have pink slip in hand, and am available to show this to local buyers. The registration is not current, but was registered non op in 1994. The total cost to bring it to 2012 is right at 200 bucks, including tax (estimated in CA) I would strongly recommend having this towed, it will run, but I'm not sure I'd take this more than 20 miles until it was examined for gremlins. There is absolutely no reserve! Buyer is responsible for getting this out of my driveway 10 days after auction unless otherwise agreed upon. Buy a piece of American bread history. Paint your company logo on the side, and you will be bound to get the attention you deserve with this rare chevy!!!!! I will do my best to answer any questions regarding this auction, ask away...
