This was my 98 year old grandpas car and he just cant drive anymore.. darn arthritis in his knees. So here it is up for sale. And if you believe that one, I have some beach front property in Nevada to sell you! Honestly though, it has been owned by several MR2 fans that HAVE driven it as if Grandpa owned it. I bought it with stars in my eyes, cash in my wallet and a dream to restore it back to as if it just rolled out of the dealership. It didn't need much.. a testament to the fine previous owners taking such good care of it. What you see here is a VERY original MR2 that has never been wrecked or in any accident. Never driven in salt or snow and needs nothing. Always garaged and maintained properly. I have done the following during the past few months. ALL parts are genuine Toyota. I drove my local parts guy at Toyota crazy. : ) 1) New eyebrows 2)New plugs, cap and rotor. The wires were replaced in 2009 3)New exhaust mounts ( didn't really need them, I even still have the old ones, but I figured I might as well replaced since I replaced every thing else) 4) New Toyota Muffler and catalytic converter. Yep!, paid through the nose but its OEM Factory.. all new bolts and gaskets as well 5) Brand new Sumitomo 185/60/14 tires on the original rims.. there is NO curb damage to the wheels and they are beautiful 6) Coolant, brake fluid flushed in 2010 7) Brakes have >50% left front and rear 8) brand new Costco Battery 9) Toyota oil and K&N air filter included 10) Confirmed that synthetic oil has been used most of its life. The head is spotless! No sludge or muck anywhere 11) New O2 sensor 12) Clean and clear California title 13) Passed California smog with flying colors 14) Registered to January 2013 in California The interior is perfect. No rip or tears and never smoked in I have the original radio and ashtray that will go with the car. It will be replaced when the car sells No leaks, no rust and it runs like a scalded cat! very smooth and awesome in the twistys If I had to say something bad about the car is that the shocks to me feel soft. They are original They dont leak and its not terrible but they could be stiffer. I am an honest seller and expect the same from you. I will help you out with shipping as much as I can. This is a late 1985. I have already confirmed with Toyota that the side skirts did indeed come with the car. As you know, the "official" time frame for color coordinated side skirts did not happen till the 1986model year but this being a very late 1985, it is logical that it was put in and they used up the remaining black wings and bumpers.
