Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for bid is a 1980 GMC High Sierra step side. My father purchased this truck while living in California in early 2000 and had it restored. I purchased the vehicle from him a few years later in 2004. The engine/trans was stock when I got it but that quickly changed. I had a local shop, “Horn Automotive”, rebuild the drivetrain to my liking, the details are listed below. The odometer was at 42000 miles when rebuilt, so there is 11000 miles on the new drivetrain. I do have all of the paper work from the shop, including the “cam card” from CompCams as well as $5K+ in receipts from the engine alone, plenty of other paper work as well. I also have a bunch of “before, during and after” pictures of the restoration. It has always been garage kept, never driven in the snow and only got caught in the rain a handful of times while out cruising. It has always been stored over the winter and is started once every week or two and ran for a while. It has power windows, power locks, keyless entry, running boards, dual 15 gallon fuel tanks, American Racing rims, Clarion stereo, Clarion 5 CD disk changer behind the seat, Pioneer speakers and a custom fit California truck cover. This truck is in excellent condition with the exception of a small ding on the right rear fender, and a small spot to the left of the driver’s door handle which was there when it came to me from California. The interior was redone with the original carpeting, but the seats were recovered and are in excellent shape.
