2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 turbo Low miles, super clean, great car! The last two years the car has been used in San Francisco. Parking on the crowded streets has put some wear on the front and rear bumper, a small ding on the front passenger side fender panel, and some scuffs on the trunk lid. I had two different body shops offer to fix the fender ding for around a hundred bucks, and touch up the bumpers for a few hundred, but I decided to leave the exterior wear as-is and instead let the buyer decide if they want to have it fixed. The exterior wear didn't bother me, and fixing it would be somewhat pointless here in SF since it would just get more wear as time goes on. Buyer could have the blemishes cleaned up at any body shop for cheap if desired. This awesome car has served me well for the last few years, and I've recently decided to go green and bike everywhere in SF. Car has great gas mileage!! The six speed manual also includes a hill start feature, which keeps the car from rolling backwards from a start (was invaluable for driving in the mega hills of San Francisco). On Jan-20-12 at 11:06:14 PST, seller added the following information: I thought I typed this in the original listing but here is more detail about the Passat Interior: Seats are in great shape, no noticeable tears or major wear. Car has never been smoked or eaten in, no weird odors or anything. Carpet is in great shape. All the dash switches are fully working. A/c blow cold, heater works like new, all power windows work, mirrors work. Keyless entry works. Radio in full working condition. Cruise control works like new. Power driver’s seat with power lumbar support. Interior windows are tinted, front windows are 35% which is legal, rear windows are about 15% which is useful because you can put your belongings in the rear seat and no one can see in easily. The rear glass window is not tinted for better visibility when driving. All of the window tint was professionally installed and is in great shape. Exterior: The front and rear bumpers have some scratches on them from parallel parking here in San Francisco, this could be touched up if you desired or just driven as is because this is just cosmetic. The front passenger’s side fender has a small dent where someone bumped into the car while it was parked at a coffee shop. The rims have a few small scuffs on them from parallel parking but nothing too major. The rear trunk lid has a small dent where an automated garage door opener closed early and put the small dent with a few scratches. The trunk still looks pretty good and you can hardly tell it had a garage door opener push on it. The truck still opens and closes perfectly every time. This is again just a cosmetic issue. Mechanical: motor starts every time, The Passat drives smooth and quiet. The car doesn't leak any fluids or burn oil, Clutch engages well, no slippage. The car drives straight on the highway, no wondering of the steering. No unusual noises. Car drives like new. Brakes still in great shape. The tires are only a month old and have about 90% tread left. Oil recently changed. Oil was always changed at about 5000 miles per the manufactures recommendation. This is a Passat that has been taken care of. I originally purchased the car when I was living in Georgia and I moved to San Francisco. The car regularly gets over 30MPG on the highway and has great acceleration from its turbo charged 2.0 engine. This is the same engine found in many other VW’s and Audi’s. The car had its front bumper replaced by the previous owner due to minor wreck, but the car was not seriously damaged and was still under its full bumper to bumper warranty at the time and was repaired perfectly. I have never had any issues with the front bumper due to the minor wreck in the past. The car has never been declared Salvaged or floor damage. The autocheck scores range from 64-78 and this car scored an 85! Car is available for test drives and to see in person. . Refundable PayPal deposit of $500 due within 24 hours of auction end.
