Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1971 Fiat 124 coupe. I obtained the car from the original owner. She was a writer for Road and Track magazine, and the car was featured in the magazine 3 times. I have the original articles and they will be included with the car in the sale. The mileage of 45800 is correct and the speedometer has not rolled over. Since the owner wrote for R&T, she always had test cars and used the Fiat sparingly. The car has been sitting for 12 years and will need some restoration to get it back on the road. The car does run, but obviously the fuel tank should be drained and flushed and the brakes will need servicing. The car is complete and in original condition. The only item missing is the a/c compressor. The dealer removed it many years ago. The body does have some rust damage in a few areas as the pictures show. Other than the rust, the body is very straight. There is some rust in the lower front corner of the left door and at the bottom of the rear window. I do have an extra door and deck lid that can be included if the buyer desires. As mentioned above, the Fiat has been featured in Road and Track 3 times with pictures and text articles. This is famous coupe and deserves to be restored rather than parted out. The car does feature 5 Cromodora magnesium wheels with the original hubcaps. The set of 5 wheels is easily worth $1200 alone. This car is a perfect candidate for restoration as every part is intact. Of course the interior has split on all of the seams due to age. The car has a clear Calif title and all fees have been paid. The car is currently in non-operational status, so no additonal fees are due. Delivery in So Calif is possible for a fee. Contact me if you want to arrange delivery and I'll quote a price based on distance from the Inland Empire. Deposit due immediately at the end of the sale and full payment within 24 hrs.
