Vehicle Detail
1966 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE CONVERTIBLE You are viewing a hard to find 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertible. This car is equipped with a 389 4v engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes. The car is complete minus the hubcaps. It has been sitting since the late 70s and is in pretty rough shape, it is probably best suited as a parts car but if you are determined and ambitious enough it could be restored. The car is showing 59,995 miles, it was on the road less than 15 years but I do not know if those are the actual miles or not, I do have a clear title to the car. The car has some major rust issues, the upper firewall is rusting. The floor pans are there but they do have some holes in them. The worst rust is in the rear section, the lower quarters and trunk lid are bad. The trunk floor doesn’t exist anymore. On the plus side the frame does look good as does the front clip. All the trim is intact including the heavy cast Bonneville trim along the lower edge of the car; the right rear piece is off but with the car. The convertible top assembly is intact and in very decent shape including the front header bow; of course the canvas is long gone. The interior is all there but weathered. Everything on this car is stuck except for the wheels and the hood. It does roll and the tires will hold air long enough to load it onto a trailer. The doors do not open and it is stuck in neutral. The hubcaps are missing and the radiator was stolen several years ago. I am not calling this a "barn find" because it has not been in a barn, shed, carport, basement, etc. it has been outside. The car has been sitting outside since it was parked 30+ years ago; when it was parked it was in a yard. When I cut it out a few months ago it was in the woods, trees had grown up around it and buried it in leaves. It was covered with tarps and metal sheets that did provide some protection however it still has deteriorated to a pretty sad shape. Please ask any questions that you may have, I am not a Pontiac person but I will answer the best that I can. A $250.00 deposit is due within 24 hours via Pay Pal. The balance is payable in cash, cashier’s check or money order within 10 days of sale date. I would prefer the car picked up in two weeks but will work with the new buyer if more time is needed. If you have a feedback of less than 5 contact me first. I am selling this car to the US and Canada only! The car sells as is where is but I will answer any questions and welcome anyone who wants to come and inspect the car prior to the end of the auction. Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing. Good luck bidding! On Jan-18-12 at 17:29:03 PST, seller added the following information: There has been some interest in the rear bumper, I had thought that it was good but after close inspection this afternoon it is bent out and I would not recomend trying to use it as a core.
