A diamond find. This 1967 Volvo 122S, finished in pea green on green was discovered just recently. I bought this as a cool car to teach my nephew how to drive stick. Well, he has no desire to learn how to shift as most kids of his generation. So, after getting her sorted, I've decided to pass this on to someone who can really enjoy her. She is as original as the day she rolled off the showroom floor in Sunny Southern California. She is a joy to drive and shifts smoothly and drives that way too. Grandma so loved her grandchildren that she had seat selts installed in the rear. Volvo, known for their safety, has a lap and shoulder belt combination in the front that clips onto a round hook in the center. How's that for SAFETY in 1967? This girl has the original black plate and series from 1967 front and back. Miles have turned over once according to the previous owner. No rust issues as she has lived in our state from birth. She still sports her original steel wheels with dogdish hubcaps. The interior is in fair shape. The headliner does have some tears on it(see video and photo). The roof has small indentations from the grandkids climbing on her back in the day(see video and photo). Not too noticable and adds character to our girl. The chrome shines nicely and the paint is original to the car from what I can see. The motor compartment is clean and the twin SU carbs are in tune. She has original books and manuals along with a service manual. These old Volvo's are simplistic in nature and easy to work on. The heater works, the windows work and windshield and windows still have the Volvo logo on them. The dash pad is torn in a few areas(see video and photo). There are numerous replacement parts available for the interior if that bothers someone. Other than that, she is a great running car. No rust in the rockers, quarters, trunk or wheel wells.
