Vehicle Detail
What you have here is a diamond in the rough. A beautiful running car that always starts and has never failed me (or the previous owner). It's been in the family all it's life. I'm the second owner of the vehicle. My father-in-law was the original owner. This can either be a good project/restoration car or be a good source of parts for another. - Olds 350 V8 engine with 88,473K miles with a quadrojet 4 barrel carb.- Tranny was rebuilt for towing - 18K miles - was told by an Olds tech the car was rated to tow up to 4500 lbs- 4 Michelin light truck tires with 8K miles- new front & rear coil springs- extra heavy duty rear shock absorbers- class 5 hitch- fully functional R34 air conditioning system- alternator 1 yr old- gas tank replaced 2009 OTHER Features:-pulse wipers- remote drivers side mirror (we also added a passenger side stationary mirror which is not technically authentic to the year but matches well and looks good)-luggage rack-deluxe wheelcovers w/ olds emblem (plus one extra hubcap)-electric clock-trip odometer-car originally treated with ECP rust protection (ECP pumped into walls of vehicle) - Interior: Middle and rear seats are original and are in excellent condition. The front has been reupholstered with a custom fabric cover. headliner was replaced within the last few years. Carpets need replacing.- Minor body rust with the exception of a 2" hole in the left front fender Right now, the car is not registered. Car failed recent inspection because of the frame. Between the front and passenger door on both sides, the frame rail ,about 12" in length, where in tact, is rusted and weak. (The frame everywhere else is solid.) Also, the rear bumper is rusted through where it attaches to the frame. According to our local welding shop the frame is able to be repaired. For restoration buffs, we have the original: -punched NYS inspection sticker from 1977 (not a repro) -GM dealer catalog for 1977 Oldsmobile Toronado, Ninety-Eight, Delta88 and Custom Cruiser-GM dealer catalog for 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass, Omega & Starfire-ECP information pamphlet-informational flyer "engines used in 1977 oldsmobiles" from Sholz Oldsmobile, Inc, White Plains NY DEPOSIT, PAYMENT, SHIPPING, etc:The car is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. Please feel free to contact me with any questions via ebay email. Additional photos upon request. (I thought I had a pic of the odometer, but will be putting that up shortly) I cannot get underneath the car to take pics of the frame, sorry. $200 non-refundable deposit through PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance to be paid in cash or cashier's check upon pick-up. (No personal checks) Pick-up to be arranged by buyer and is expected to be completed within 2 weeks of the end of the auction. Thanks for your interest! On Jan-16-12 at 08:21:10 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: If you are not interested in the car for restoration/etc and the documents I have hold no interest to you and will just be discarded, please let me know. I would rather keep them for sentimental purposes than have them thrown out. Thanks for understanding.
