I bought this car a few yrs ago and have run it just about every day until the last few months ago.....It is all stock .It is very rusty but starts and runs every time.......the leather is still soft! n the seats are very comfy! driver seat has the typical rip in it. I patched the floor pan on the drivers side n it is very sturdy. i planned on pulling the drive train n putting it in a Jeep but i just dont have time now. But that is what i would recomened doing as i said car is RUSTY but reliable :) I HAVE PUT A LOT OF MONEY INTO THE DRIVE TRAIN ....breaks, new tires, transmission serviced, engine oil transmission,rear diff. doesnt leek or use any fluids......heat works , climate control works but needs a charge, radio works but speakers are blown. cruise was working but stopped . car is VERY doggy but from what i have seen on other 240 d ppls blogs it was not a power house n its a heavy car. so IDK...im not a mechanic,, but iv driven the car for 3 or 4 yrs now like it is and got about 27 mpg on average! I lost the paper work for the car, but in GA i didnt need it cuz its old enough......but car has a clear title, i just dont have the paper and since i registered it as a NO title car i cant get one now without a lot of hassle n i just didnt see the need.On Dec-30-11 at 17:26:59 PST, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention I also have a 25 gallon grease "wash" tank my friend made, ill throw in with the car it has a pump and a heater and the plumbing is all done....
