Vehicle Detail

1949 Chevrolet, 3100, deluxe cab, 5-window pickup. This truck received a "body" and interior renovation 6-years ago. It has the original drivetrain that has not been rebuilt, just cosmetics and a thorough internal cleansing and lube of the engine prior to first start up. It does not smoke nor burn oil but there is no way of knowing exactly how many miles it has on it. The engine is totally stock and it has the 4 speed transmission with "granny gear" and heavy duty springs in the rear. The truck was originally from Montana and was in pieces when we began the restoration. I have a book with pictures from the start of the restoration to the end. It runs and drives great and I have recently put on a new, rebuilt carb, fuel pump, vacuum advance, 6-volt battery, fuel filter, radiator and adjusted the brakes. New gas tank was installed during the restoration. There is no heater core installed and it retains the original 6-volt system to include the floor starter switch and vacuum wipers. All of the stainless on the truck is original and in excellent shape (check out the grill, dash, and the window trims). We did all new seals everywhere (body, cab and oil pan) and new wiring where needed and new headlamps and tailights (no turn signals on the 6 volt system). As you can see, all of the interior parts have been either replaced or restored as well as the wood bed. It currently needs a new rear axle seal on the drivers side, a lug nut stud (broken) and there is no tailgate included. Drivers door needs a little work with alignment as it closes but you have to close it hard to get it to latch. Truck is painted a metallic green color from a 1959 Chevrolet Pickup. It is not a show truck but can be driven or would make a good platform for a conversion if someone wanted to. Also comes with shop manuals and some miscellaneous spare parts. Truck is sold as is with no warranty. Shipping will be paid and arranged by the purchaser and a deposit of $1000.00 is required within 48 hours closing of the bid. Deal must be completed within 7-days of sale or sale will be nullified without return of deposit. Title is clear with current registration in the State of Washington. It has been driven very sparingly in the past 6 years and only during nice summer days and has been in enclosed storage at all times. I have tried to disclose anything I know of that needs to be worked on or fixed and you can contact me for further information or pictures if needed. This is my wife's truck and I have made sure to have it road worthy so she could drive it to work in the summer time. I believe my reserve is fair for a truck of this condition and I reserve the right to cancel the bidding at anytime. On Jan-13-12 at 10:54:27 PST, seller added the following information: In addition to the restoration pictures, I have located my file with most all of the receipts for the parts purchased during the restoration. They add up to around $6000 in parts, not counting labor. Also, I did forget to say the speedometer does not work yet. Haven't gotten to it yet so don't know if it is the cable or gear. This truck did come from a field in Montana and there was rust in the floor panels and some other spots but the picture will show you they were all cut out and replaced with new panels where needed.
