I WILL START THE BIDDING WITH A PRICE THAT MATCHES THE YEAR OF THIS SUBURBAN, AND THE HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN IT. 1996 Suburban K2500 3/4 Ton 4x4 powered by the very rare 6.5 liter High Output Turbo Diesel. I know Chevy made more than one of these, but I had never seen one when I bought it. I used it to tow my 18 foot open car trailer and I only drove it in Florida. I have taken it on several 4-6 hour trips, and it drove beautifully. Whether towing a car or not, it handles great and everything works. Power steering and brakes, tilt wheel, cruise control, power windows, mirrors, locks, AM/FM/CD and front and rear air conditioning. Safety items such as wipers, horn, lights, etc. all work also. It has a set of Michelin X tires on it that have decent tread, but they are old and will need a set based on that. The aftermarket aluminum wheels are in good shape, and as you can see in the photos, the exterior and interior are in great shape for the year. It has the normal dings and dents associated with almost 150,000 miles of use, and the paint on the hood is faded and a little thin, but no accidents and a clean carfax with no paint work having been done, and the interior is all original as well. It has a block heater for those of you in colder climates, but I've never used or needed it since it doesn't get cold where I live. The previous owner was from Maryland and used it for their yearly trips back and forth to Florida. Highway use only by them and by me. With only 148,000 miles on it, this turbo diesel should have many, many more miles left in it. The 6.5 liter engine starts easily and quickly, and the 4L80E heavy duty overdrive automatic shifts just like it should. All of the gauges work, all of the power windows and door locks work. The front and rear AC is cold, and overall, its runs and drives great in its current condition. What I think is amazing....NO RUST and NO LEAKS ! Quickly, I'll point out all that I know...both good and bad. Please read it closely BEFORE you bid. Use the information to bid accordingly. Please dont assume anything, and please be a serious bidder / buyer. Im listing it to sell. I no longer use it since I bought a new Tahoe. I figured somebody, somewhere could use it instead of just sitting at my shop. GOOD---runs great, no leaks, no rust, tons of cargo and people space. Cold AC, All of the popular power options, 4x4, Turbo Diesel NOT SO GOOD---old tires, normal wear and tear, front driveshaft removed by previous owner since he only drove it on the highway so 4WD operation is unknown, passenger outside mirror is cracked, but it's still there and serves it's purpose.
