1979 Honda CBX, 9400 miles, silver, excellent condition, low miles, regularly used Here is a low mileage immaculate 1979 CBX which I bought some years ago from TIMS. This is an original unrestored bike. TIMS usually sells restored CBXs but this one, with 4600 miles at the time, did not need any restoration. TIMS did however check out the bike front to back and gave it a clean bill of health. I have used the bike regularly in the Georgian mountains and added just under 5000 miles over the last five years. Current mileage is below 9400 and the bike remaines in perfect condition, regularly serviced and with everything working as it should. The paint is original and is perfect with no scuffs or scratches anywhere. Rear shocks are new Progressive replacements, chromed and customized to match the look of the originals. Chain and original sprockets are in great shape, gauges were refreshed by TIMS making them look like new, the warning buttons on the dash are like new with the white lettering being perfect. The exhaust is original HM422, dent free, rust free. Foot pegs and signals are original and in excellent condition. Battery is a maintenance free Odyssey PC680. The bike runs as smooth as any I have ever been on and the brakes work as new. The Dunlop tires have about 4500 miles on them; front is a Aeromax 100/90x19; rear is a 491 120/90x18 ; they are at least 50%. The wheels are almost perfect. Being now over 30 years old and unrestored, there are a few minor cosmetic imperfections as to be expected, see pictures. The gas cap latch has some minor oxidizing on it. The front blinker stalks have some pitting on the chrome and the rubber has some age related cracks at the transition. There is a small crack in the rear cowling. The bike is ready to be ridden away. Original owners manual in plastic holder under seat, but no tool kit. Georgia title and current registration in my name. No warranties or guaranties, sale is final.
