Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T, with original N96 "SHAKER" hood. This car has the original 340 motor as well as the original pistol grip 4 speed transmission. The original color of the car was B5 blue with a black rally stripe. Now, obviously it is black with a red rally stripe. I has a black vinyl top. Car Vin# JS23H1388374 Engine block# 1B388374 Trans# 1B388374(1*21*71) Vin Decoded J-Dodge Challenger, S-R/T, 23-2 door hardtop, H-340 275hp 4bbl 8cyl, 1-1971, B-Hamtramck MI USA, 388374- production # I bought this car in September 2010. I have had several repairs done to it. The front end needed a few things right off the bat. The upper ball joints have been replaced, both the idler and pitman arm are new, a new 1 1/8" sway bar was added (I still have a 1" sway bar that will be included), and the tie rod ends and sleeves are new on both sides. Next I had Hooker Headers installed and new exhaust all the way back (2.5 in.) with Magnaflo resonators. The rims are 15x8 black, kinda plain jane but I like 'em. The tires are Firehawk Indy 500's, the size is p235/60/r15. The tires are in great shape with lots of life left on them, I'd say they have less than 2000 miles on them. The rear brake shoes and drums have been replaced, new shock absorbers have been installed on the front. I have a set of new leaf springs that are included with the car. A new radiator lower core support was also installed. I have had the dash wiring harness, Engine wiring harness, and headlight harness (with conversion kit for new H4 bulbs) replaced. The outer door handles have also been replaced. A sony CD player is installed in the car now. With the dash harness I also had a new dash and instrument cluster installed. I still have the old dash and original rallye guages, which are of course included with the car. The new guages are the "cobalt" ones by, I think, coven. Also I have a couple of old service manuals, possible from 1971, that are included. I have two more carburators, two more rear ends, a sizable pile of other parts that are included. And all of it is MOPAR stuff. If may have questions and you can direct them at Sam at (307) 751-8576
