This auction is for a REAL 50th Anniversary Edition Chevrolet Corvette coupe. You will see many auctions describing a 2003 Corvette as a 50th Anniversary model - but this is a genuine 50th Anniversary Edition. This beautiful Vette is in Anniversary Red - a dark red metalic paint that changes color in the sun. The interior is shale leather that was only used on the 2003 50th Anniversary Editions and the 2004 Commemorative Edition Corvettes. You can feel the difference immediately while driving. This is a great car and I hate to get rid of it but I need to make room for a recent purchase. My wife and I love to take it on trips. With the 6 speed transmission we can get 30 mpg on the highway. I read Chevrolet actually listed the C5 Corvette as a "green" car because of the great gas mileage and extended oil change cycles. This car is in great shape. It is a Southern car and never driven in snow that I am aware of. It has been garage kept and probably hasn't been driven in the rain that much either. The interior is in excellent shape. The leather seats are great and show little wear - no rips or tears. The carpets are clean and I'm not aware of any stains. Mechanically the car is like new. The oil has been changed regularly. It has Michelin run flat tires with plenty of tread. I replaced the brakes with Hawk ceramic pads about a year ago. Paint is in very good to excellent. There are a few minor rock chips in the front but you have to be very close to see them. The glass top is also excellent, with no signs of de-lamination, and the 50th Anniversary-specific wheels look great with no curb rash. The interior of this car shows very good to excellent condition factory leather seat covers, steering wheel, door panels, and center console. This 2003 Corvette 50th Anniversary features a clean, rust and corrosion-free subframe.
