Vehicle Detail
1984 CHEVY EL CAMINO SS - 350 CRATE MOTOR, IROC WHEELS, CUSTOM PAINT & INTERIOR, CUSTOM SOUND SYSTEM - CLEAN & RUNS XLNT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (The El Camino has been consigned with Royal Auto Auction 8912 E 40 Highway, Kansas City, MO 64129 (816) 461-2525 . It can be viewed & inspected at this location. Local buyers are welcome to do so - as you won't be disappointed with the vehicle!!!) Up for sale is my 1984 Chevy El Camino SS. This has been my personal work/ car show/ toy hauler vehicle for the past couple of years. I bought a new GM 350 crate motor for it, and had a 400 tranny rebuilt for it as well. It's always been a southwest/ west coast vehicle (until this past Fall 2011), but now it's here in the Mid-west (Kansas City, Missouri). I had the original white paint job completely redone in pearl white the beginning of 2011. I also recently had the custom candy apple 2-tone accents & Chevy rally stripes painted this past spring 2011. I just resprayed the bedliner which turned out extremely nice, and it has made the bed look as nice as the rest of the El Camino. The new 20" IROC wheels & 255/35/20 tires were added this past spring 2011. The interior features factory bucket seats & it has the very rare factory floor shift with console also. The interior was just completely redone this past spring 2011 as well. It has brand new carpeting & padding, headliner, door panels, and restiched bucket seats. I've also recently installed custom white gauges into it, and redone the factory instrument cluster with a set of custom white with burgundy "SS" instrument gauge overlay set. The stereo system has been totally redone as well and features: brandnew Sony CD & MP3 player, Sony tweeters in the dash, Sony 3-way 6.5" speakers in the doors, and 2 JBL (1000 watt) 10" subs in the rear compartment (hidden), and a Lightening Audio amp that powers the subs. The stereo system is awesome and sounds as good as this EL-CO looks!! Like I stated earlier, a new GM 350 crate motor was added about 3 years ago along with the rebuilt 400 tranny. It has about 69,000 miles on this motor & tranny since they were bought & installed. I know that the odometer reads 95k, but I never wound the original miles back after installing the new motor. To figure the current mileage, I simply subtracted the current mileage from what it was when we installed the new motor & tranny. I also added a new Edelbrock Performer 4 barrel carb & Edelbrock Performer intake. It also recently had had a new power steering pump, new front end rebuilt with new bushings, brake job, tune-up & oil change done, and A/C recharged last summer 2011. Also it has a newly installed performance dual exhaust system with new catalytic converters as well. Ok - now for some of the downfalls or unfinished items: 1) The steering has excess play in it when driving. I've had it checked out and was told the steering link needs to be rebuilt or replaced. 2) The dash has sun cracks in it from previous Las Vegas summers, and needs a dash cap to cover the cracks on top of the dash. As you see - I just use a towel to cover them. 3) the tail gate bed latch needs to be replaced, as it's not releasing the lock properly. 4) I had a new windshield intalled due to rock chips in the old one, and the rear view mirror still needs to be re-installed (glued) onto it. 5) Lastly, the bottom of both doors seem to be getting surface rust into them, a normal auto body shop could easily repair them of the surface rust before it gets out of hand. That's really it for downfalls or unfinished items!! I just had the safety & emissions test done in Las Vegas (just prior to transporting it to Kansas City - Fall 2011), and it passed easily!! Luckily it's been a non-rusted West Coast vehicle and has never been in any type of accident - which made it very easy to restore & customize!! No expense was sparred on this vehicle, and it's truely been a pleasure owning & customizing this El Camino!! I'm selling it now as being a recently relocated single father now takes presidence over this toy! Don't get me wrong as I love this El Camino & really hate to sell it, but I love my kids even more than this vehicle!! Don't pass on this opportunity to own this rare & tastefully customized El Camino SS, as alot of love & $$$ has been poured into it (way more than it's reserve amount)!!!!!!!!!!!! This vehicle is being sold as-is and comes with no said warranty. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours after the closing of this auction (payable thru Paypal), and the remainding balance will be due within 5 days after paying the deposit. The vehicle comes with a clean & clear title (titled to me solely), and there are no liens against this vehicle. I have listed this vehicle as honest & true as possible. Vehicle will not be able to be picked up until final payment has been made 1st. I will assist the buyer & their transporting company in making the vehicle easily accessible for any out of state buyers, but all transporting arrangements & fees are solely the buyer's responsibility. With that being said, THANKS AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
