Vehicle Detail

No reserve...high bidder wins....I will also entertain offers emailed to me (couldn't get the "make offer" option to work sorry). I am selling my 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula Firehawk hardtop coupe. I am ONLY selling this due to not having the driveway room, and unfortunately the vehicle that can't fit my 4 kids and girlfriend with me has to go (which is a very sad occasion)....otherwise, I wouldn't even dream of selling her (I personally sought just the right Firehawk for a number of years before coming across this one). This is a very rare car, and is #405 out of 500 made in 1994 (less than 19 were made with this specific color combination). There is less than 57.5k original miles on her currently (however this will continue to rise as I do drive the car, but not a lot). The car is in beautiful condition, with the only exterior flaw being a paint "scrub" caused by a not so good car detailer buffing it too hard (I honestly don't even notice it really, and a bra would hide it entirely...just did not want to risk a paint mismatch). Also has the special order TOTL (two on the left) exhaust, settling up for a respectable 315hp combo. I can honestly say with no exaggeration, that of ALL muscle cars I have owned, this one growls the meanest....she is VERY LOUD! I have seen some in this shape with this mileage ranging from $13.5-$22k natiowide (with a couple of exceptions, which I found those to be cloned Firehawk's and not the real thing). From what I've seen, I may well be listing the cheapest REAL Firehawk on the internet. Speaking of which, I am not desperate to get rid of the car, but I will enterain offers, and possibly even trade + cash if the right trade came along. To my knowledge, the car is all stock with no modifications. The rundown: Registration and inspection stickers are current/valid (until 7/2012) 5.7l LT1 engine ~57.5k original miles Automatic transmission (with performance selection) Two-on-the-left exhaust (special order on Firehawk) 315hp (not the ~275hp of the regular Trans Ams and Formula of this year) Dark green exterior (ORIGINAL STOCK PAINT IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION!) Tan cloth interior (no rips, tears, or stains) Heated and power seats (driver and passenger heated; driver only power) Power door locks Power windows Commemerative plaque (plaque states "1994 Firehawk 5.7L 315HP Car No. 405") Car spent a good 8 yrs of servitude in storage (being pulled out yearly for oil changes and to keep it running smoothly) for the previous owner. I bought her 3 months ago and have only put just over 1000 miles on her with no issues whatsoever. The previous owner allowed some things to slide in storage. To my knowledge, this is everything that needs done to the car to make it perfect (it IS beatiful and quite functional as it is, but I have already adjusted my expectations accordingly). These are minor things, and I MAJORLY adjusted my expectations for them (to the tune of $3000 or so, although to fix EVERYTHING will be much less than a third of that reduction). -----------Exterior----------- Small 3"x4" buffing "scrub" on paint on the nose (mentioned above; easily looked over) - the rest of the car exterior is immaculate -----------Interior------------- Drivers side window sometimes catches while going up...suspect the window is slightly off track...usually it goes up fine, but when it doesnt, a tiny nudge/tap on the window allows it to go the rest of the way Drivers side door lock does not slide all the way back when locking the doors using the power locks (just needs new clip for the slide lock inside the door panel). The door DOES lock just fine, you just have to push the driver door to the locked position (it slides about halfway back and then stops) ---------Electrical------------ Stereo controls on steering wheel do not function currently (was told 2 previous owners ago had aftermarket stereo that they removed and did not hook the steering wheel controls back up to stock stereo) Stock radio works fine on am/fm, but has to "warm up" before the stations come in (turn on the stereo on am or fm and drive for 5-10 minutes or so and it will come in). I believe this may be remedied by correcting whatever wiring they were missing when the stock radio was put back in. If you have a CD in, this is not a problem...CDs will play immediately without the radio "warm up" time. I personally don't use the radio or CD player often (the car sounds too mean to, and even if you did, the car drowns much of the music out). ----------Mechanical--------- She was in storage for 8 years, so she could use a tune up to reach her full potential (spark plugs, plug wires, etc.) (I am a single father of 4 and have not had the opportunity to take her into the shop to get this done)...she does run great right now though too Coolant level sensor is going out (1993-1997 f-bodies are very famous for this)...the temperature and coolant level are perfectly fine....these things go out every 6 months after replacing, so I never bothered to replace it. The result is that sometimes the "Low Coolant" light on the dash is on, and sometimes its off...neither make a difference in regards to how the car performs at all. No joy rides....cash in hand can test drive. I have a clean PA title in hand reflecting the 56k miles on the car when I purchased it.
