Hi,this is a 1980 honda cr125r elsinore..you will not find a nicer bike from this era. this bike has maybe 10 hours of ride time since new and no time at all since complete high end off frame restoration..i got it from a gentlemen that builds race boats and motors and this has been his at home project for the last two winters..the motor has been taken off of the bike and every thing rebuilt.complete crank, bearings ,and all seals..and gaskets..every part of the bike that needed sand blasted and painted has been..most nuts and bolts have been replaced with new o.e.m. honda bolts. swingarm has no play ,forks have no leaks, every place that needed grease has new water resistance grease..bike ran perfect before restoration, trans/clutch works fine..bike to be complete needs the correct air filter for the air box..need the plastic air box cover for the left side as you see in the pics..or something made to cover it.. i was going to use some clear 1/8 inch plastic and some ribots but ill leave that to whoever buys it as you may want the factory one on there..and the bike during restoration had the carb changed from a 34mm to a 36mm so i would assume it may need to be jetted to the bike..his goal was to get second gear starts, so he raised the carb..bike has been restored to be a complete vintage race machine..if you have a bid history of 2 or less please dont bid on the bike, serious bidders please as alote of time and money have been put into this machine..thanks and enjoy..On Jan-07-12 at 06:18:31 PST, seller added the following information: note;1-7-2012 saturday morning, got a day off from work went to the garage. put a new plug in bike, new gas with 927, and fresh oil, had my friend adjust the new carb to stock factory settings and the bike fired up on the 4th kick, idols by it self and drove up and down the drive way all gears shift perfect..On Jan-08-12 at 20:41:43 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE; ( i will not ship this bike over seas, it is clearly to much trouble and a to much to deal with..i will drive it as far as the florida state line if you pay me for my gas and time..buyer is totally responsible for pick up or shipping.. ) the bike is nice whoever may buy it will enjoy..im racing a vintage kx400 this year, if i was not so old had the wind to race both classes i would be keeping this one. thanks and good luck..)On Jan-10-12 at 05:06:27 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE; JUST TRIED TO TAKE MY RESERVE OFF..WAS NOT ALLOWED..BUT I LOWERD IT, BIKE IS PRICED TO SELL AND ONLY A FEW DOLLORS AWAY FROM THE RESERVE PRICE..THANKS AND GOOD LUCK..PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANY SHIPPING ARRANGEMENT OR QUESTIONS..
