Vehicle Detail
Very Nice 88 FJ62, minuscule rust spot at rear passenger side wheel well. Newer front tires (all are 31x10.5 15's on original rims), no major damage to note. Strong running 3FE Inline 6 with newer belts, water pump (1 Month old), Master cylinder, Valve cover gasket, All Wix filters and service. AC does work well, but needs charging every so often, New Cat Converter (will pass emmisions test easily), No Leaks of oil or any fluids. Transmission shifts very well, 4x4 system works as it should, no leaks from front or rear diffs. Trans was rebuilt some time ago. Interior is VERY clean, has dark brown vinyl seat covers front and rear with no tears whatsoever. One crack on dash, not many rattles when driving. Driver side window is off track but works, all other windows work well. All power door locks work, including tailgate. Has an updated radio that looks factory, but has CD, USB and AUX plugin, WeatherBand, and an underseat bass module with controller by driver seat. Rear passenger area and cargo have protective mats and are in good shape. Issues: Check Engine light is due to no Oxygen Sensor PlugsNeeds a brake booster ($100 used, more new hard brake pedal and rough idle when stopped)Needs a speedometer cableNeeds a stronger alternator or rebuildHood and driver front fender are weathered, can use paintSmall corner crack on windshield, no big deal just FYI Drives very straight and quiet, no bad bearings, knocks, rattles or problems. If you live out of state, no worries as she will you get you back no problems. I am the third owner, this was my first LC and I'm hooked. I now have a 95 LC, so I can't keep both. With some TLC this FJ62 will keep on going. On Jan-08-12 at 11:18:41 PST, seller added the following information: Very Nice 88 FJ62, minuscule rust spot at rear passenger side wheel well. After a weekend drive, I noticed that it was running toward the HOT side, and this was very unusual. The water pump was installed a month ago, so today the LC was taken to the mechanic. I asked for all the hoses to be replaced as well, and this was done when the water pump was installed. HOWEVER, the wrong type of hoses were used on the heater tubes. Where they were to bend, they were collapsed and causing a choke point. Both hoses were replaced with the correct type (90 degree bends), and now she is back at her happy running temperature. So let me add back in that if you live out of state, this LC will get you back no problems.
