Vehicle Detail

Reluctantly offering some of my great treasures. I have several great cars that I purchased with the intent to restore. These are all dry southwest cars that I had shipped back to Indy. I paid good money for them because most are original paint - rust free - low mileage - one owner cars. I will have to live to be 100 to finish all of them so I am going to let some go. Today I am listing my 1968 Travelall 4x4. It is a real jewel. Most of these trucks were worked hard and left out to rust away. This one has been loved. It was sold new in New Mexico and never left the state until I had it shipped to Indy. It has all original paint and interior. The engine is the original 345 V-8 which was rebuilt. It has a 4 speed manual trans. Everything works including the power rear window and the 4 wheel drive. It has new alternator and regulator and new "artic heat" heater core. Fresh oil and filters. It is currently licensed and insured. It is in good driving condition and could be driven anywhere. Exhaust, brakes, tires, chassis and cooling are in excellent condition. I covered the front seat, but it really deserves to be done professionally. The paint is all original and shows some bumps and bruises, but it is too good to repaint. They are only original once! It is 99.9% rust free with just two very minor blemishes on the body. Absolutely NO RUST IN THE PAN OR COWL! No rust through anywhere on this rig. It is the nicest, cleanest Travelall that I have seen. That's why I bought it. I have all five of the original six lug wheels with good heavy duty 10 ply bias tires. I bought this with the intention of hauling a vintage camper or wooden boat. It ALWAYS draws a crowd when I take it out. Lot's of "thumbs up". Last year I purchased all new weatherstripping and fuzzy's for the windows but never installed them. I also bought a late model International clutch fan for the water pump to replace the direct drive one that came stock. I never even opened the package. I also bought a pair of late model differentials to put under it so that I could have modern disc brakes, 8 lug wheels and some more economical gearing. Never got around to installing them. I probably have $1500 worth of stuff that goes with this rig. I have this stored in my heated warehouse and it is pretty well buried. The pictures don't do it justice, but it is a real big job to dig it out so I can't really provide any additional pictures. I am pretty sure that I have the "line setting ticket" also. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I expect a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction end and the remaining funds within 72 hours. I have a truck and trailer and can deliver for a fee after Travelall is paid in full. I really hate to let it go, but I need the room.
