1961 Cadillac Eldorado project for sale. THE GOOD Real Eldorado, one of only 1450 made in 1961. Clear title in my name. Loaded with options: Rare power bucket seats, power steering, power brakes, power vent windows, power antenna, power trunk pulldown and release, power door locks, autronic eye, cruise control, fog lights, air conditioning. Rare color combination: White with mauve interior and white top (nice condition). Rebuilt transmission, top of engine gone through and detailed, rebuilt carb, rebuilt original generator with cooling hose, rebuilt original radiator, rebuilt PS pump with NOS hoses, rebuilt ac compressor. Car is 99% complete including the rare eldorado trim. Front end suspension and steering rebuilt. Car starts and drives but is largely disassembled for restoration - no time to finish. Comes with two additional doors near mint, blasted and primered, and two additional front fenders, also near mint, blasted and primered. Comes with rolling coupe parts car with transmission in place - parts car has solid floors to patch small holes in the eldo floor. Also comes with extra rust free hood. Near perfect hood and deck lid. Trunk is solid. Comes with original rebuilt eldorado trumpet horn (working). Too many extra parts to list. Valuable collector car and a good investment when complete. NOT SO GOOD Original doors need patchwork in lower corners (fix or use parts car doors). Floors need to be patched (comes with patch panels or use parts car floors). Right rocker needs to be replaced (comes with patch panel or use parts car). Drivers window is cracked (all other glass good). Car needs to be stripped, painted and reassembled. Both cars and parts need to be picked up from my residence in Bristow, VA. I will post additional pictures of both cars and parts when I can.On Dec-29-11 at 11:47:26 PST, seller added the following information: Here is some additional information: All pics are of the eldo for sale - the first one beside the vette was taken before I dismantled the car for restoration. The interior is complete and original: Rear seat and window panels are good, door panels need some seam work on the armrests, bucket seats will need to have the leather replaced but frame and chrome on both are good. Dash pad is excellent with no cracks. Dash is complete and chrome very good. The parts coupe is basically a rolling shell with no engine, interior or glass. Also has no title. Car has been blasted and is in red primer. I have removed both fenders and doors. Also has the inner fenders. Original front fenders have rust through in the normal lower corners - eyebrow areas are good. I was going to use the doner fenders. The only thing I know I don't have are the eldorado trunk letters. I do have the Biarritz scripts and all the chrome strips - impossible to find I have a lot of work and dollars in this project. I would love to finish it but just don't have the time - your gain!
