Ready for a Holiday treat? Here is a nice 78 R100S.It has been repainted and the paint is in good shape with a few touch ups here and there.Red metallic paint some would call candy apple red with gold pinstriping.The odometer works and reads 16,871 and although the bike rides and handles fine I can not be sure the mileage is correct.I do not think the bike has high miles on it either,probably 35,000 tops.It has progressive springs,Koni shocks, stainless steel brake lines and a sleek set of Krauser city cases which are smaller than the normal BMW bags but fit on the regular racks.The bike runs great and has plenty of power.The only known issues are the turn signal idiot light on the dash is out and there is a small drip of oil coming from the oil sensor which is common and a simple cheap fix the next time you change your oil.There is a toolkit,tire pump and manual.The bike has good michelin tires and a good battery,I disconnected the clock in the fairing to save the battery,It was working when disconnected.New Magura grips and new bar end mirrors.New oil and filter.There is a remove a fuse setup which relocates the 2 main fuses that were inside the headlight to an external mount on the headlight ear so you don't have to rip the fairing and headlight apart on the road when a fuse blows.Pretty slick.The mufflers have a little rust on them and are pretty solid but not show condition.I don't trust the sidestand on most of these older airheads but it does work.There are a few minor scuffs on the bags and the wheels could use some cleaning.The front forks have a set of gators that were installed to protect the fork seals.Not a showroom condition bike but pretty nice anyhow.This bike is very solid and ready to gobble up miles of highway...
