1957 Ford F100 Shortbox Styleside Big Window 1957 Ford F100 Short Box Big Window Up for sale is a 1957 Ford F100, short-wide box, big window pickup. The truck was completely torn down to the frame at which time an independent front suspension was installed. The frame was then sandblasted and powder coated. The 292 Y-Block was completely rebuilt with new pistons. The Ford-O-Matic transmission was rebuilt as well as the 9 inch Ford rear end with 3:50 Traction Loc gears. The cab and doors have been painted ’78 Porsche Red although they have several areas of damage since repaint. An Ididit tilt column connects to the power steering box through Borgeson u-joints. The original fuel tank was removed from the cab and a stainless steel unit was installed between the rear frame rails. The bottom of the bed has had brush on bed liner installed while the bed was off the truck. The wing windows were taken apart, frames powder coated, new glass and locks installed. The window regulators were rebuilt with new crank handle studs. A Painless Wiring Harness is installed but final wiring needs to be completed. I’ll try to list all of the items on this truck but I’m sure I’ll miss many of them. Mechanically it still needs the exhaust, wiring completed, brake work finalized (needs rear brake drums and bled), and there is a leak at the pulley shaft of the pwr steering pump (pump has been rebuilt but sat for years with no fluid so appears the seal has dried out). Grille needs rechromed. Rear chrome bumper needs straightened and rechromed. The truck starts, drives, and stops but is not road worthy and needs completed prior to driving more than on to a trailer. THIS IS A PROJECT TRUCK!! It doesn’t have a lot to be completed but I don’t want anyone thinking they can spend a weekend on it and have a trophy winner.
