Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1971 Corvette 350cid 4 speed non-numbers matching we will call a project car. My wife and the car did not get along so she parked it in a farmers field, problem was she put it through the barb wire fence to do it. The 350cid engine is built and powerful running 425hp. the short description: 4 bolt mains, .35 over performance pistons, 195 CC AFR CNC ported aluminum heads. 224 cam matched hyd lifters with oversized roller rocker studs. Block is shaved bringing compression to 10.27:1 to run on pump gas. Gear drive timing, Edelbrock dual plain airgap intake, Edelbrock 600CFM Carb jetted way up. MSD HEI ignition, Porcelan headers 2.5 inch exhaust. Also has a 27lb billet steel flywheel to increase torque and keep it solid. The engine has less than 500 miles on it since rebuild The transmision is solid and shifts smooth. Mechanically the car is good and I still drive it. Now to the body, She hit 3 steel fence post on the passenger side. The damage is; Front right fender, front crome bumper, lower valance panel cracked, passenger door skin, passenger rear quarter panel and forward and aft splash panels are cracked. Stress cracks at front bumper mounts. Spare tire tub is busted but there. Barb wire scratches across the car from front to back including scratches on windshield. Body is repairable for about $3,000 in parts if you do the work yourself. The right headlight will not be sold with the car as I will use it on my 1971 Big Block that I am now going to restore but will include the parts I take off it. This is a no reserve auction so car will be sold to highest bidder. Vehicle sold as is were is. I do have the car up for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Down payment of $500 required within 48 hours of sale, full payment within 7 days after end of auction. Buyer is responsible for shipping, I will help however I can. On Dec-14-11 at 23:34:55 PST, seller added the following information: Hi all. Just some notes. The door glass and the rear glass are in good shape, The tint has some wear but the Barb wire did not get them. I have not tried the power windows but they were working before the accident. I will try them on Thursday 16th. All I have done so far is put it upon my lift to check the frame, drive train and suspension and all were ok. Left exhaust pipe had a small dent and that was it. haven't checked back up lights switch yet but it is still attached to trans. underside looks good with no leaks. The field it went into was a bean field so no rock damage. I put the beauty rings and center caps back on after the photos were posted to EBay. I also screwed the door skin to the door with 2 small screws on the bottom. I would like to remind you that I am keeping the right head light with bezel for my big block 71 but will throw in the parts from that vette, but are broken. As for the interior it is average, not torn not great but all there except for the side panels under the radio. To inspect the car, it is setting at our place in central Missouri by a town called Clinton, MO 64735. I will send additional pics if you want just send me an Email address. My phone #660-473-6553. On Dec-17-11 at 09:04:25 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: To all EBay bidders, I have elected to not sell the car locally and it WILL be sold to the highest bidder on EBay. For delivery, I can drive the car to you for gas, food and a ride to the airport. Thanks and Good Luck.
